Well, whether the English customs are as hot I can’t say. You can get a professional importer to oversee the process for a relatively modest fee. Biggest thing will be the certificate phytosanitaire to prove it’s not carrying diseases etc.

I imported a chipper from the UK and was ‘caught’ by French customs in Dieppe. Luckily I’d done all the paperwork, much to their disappointment.

Wasn’t like that at all. Swung it all round except for the stuff over the lines which was cut small and pulled upwards.

Mornin’ Stubs et al. Still, frosty and of course cold. My favourite sort of day today, one tree, one client, park right next to it, client keeps the wood, just take away some chip. Steady start to the week.

Igor has had a bit of a improvement lately. Slipped seamlessly into the routine of staying at home, short walks and eating good food. Arthritis under control, doesn’t seem to have as many fits. Health generally good these days, didn’t think he’d make Christmas but looks like he’ll go on for a bit yet.

Nothing too dramatic, 4 Douglas to strip, top and fell. Gave the junior climber a good run out in the spikes, which he enjoyed.

Put my back out Monday, went to the bone cracker yesterday afternoon and he put me back in place. So taking it easy today. The lad is going off to finish a clear up from yesterday, I have a couple of things to look at this afternoon. Shame not to work really as it’s dry today, but no point in putting it out again.
