  1. Loads of similar type threads on here. https://arbtalk.co.uk/forums/forum/18-training-education/
  2. Agreed Kevin, a lot depends on visibility. If it’s good in both directions, and there’s only a couple of things to come down I’ve done it on the fly.
  3. Ahh, good, that was helpful. It’s never been pruned so it is, as you say, a mass of twisted nonsense. looks like it’s time to get heavy with it, starting tomorrow.
  4. So, around 4 years ago I planted a white wisteria next to my house at the foot of an arbor, eventually I had a dream of running it along the front of the house as you can see arrowed in the photos. For a while it did very little but last year it seemed to get the bit between its teeth and took off. This is the year I’m going to train it up to a frame I’ve just strung up on the front (south facing). First question: Should I thin out the ‘lesser’ growth showing in the picture (thinner sprouts from the main stem) to improve the energy levels going to the rest? Second question: How does one prune to improve flower production? Thanks in advance. Mick
  5. I don’t like Diane Abbot, I think she’s incompetent at best. But to have a thread about the ‘loony left’ where the sort of stuff that’s being posted about her on this thread is beyond irony.
  6. I’m sure all of us on here are just as attractive as we were in our twenties.
  7. Sorry, dunno. Call Orange Plant in the morning.
  8. Iirc, it’s water temperature, there was a thread about it years ago. If you don’t have the water in the system it won’t work, ie leaking rad etc. If the rad is choked with dust but you have coolant it works fine.
  9. I’m sure it has, at least my 2003 150 did. Had cause to be grateful for it on a couple of occasions.
  10. That’s more than a new one! Ahhh, you mean €350 each. My bad!
  11. That’s right up there with Jilted John as a tale of heartbreak. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTKORcr1jhY
  12. See Mick? this is why no one likes you....
  13. Some victories, some failures. That’s gardening.
  14. Therein lies the rub, bad news and expensive.
  15. Precisely, do I feel sorry for people who put their balls on the block and lost them? No. But I admire those who do it, and try not to feel jealous when they pull it off.
  16. I’m no fan of hers, but that’s the Daily Mail, I’d take it with a huge sack of salt.
  17. Well I for one welcome the arrival of our bacterial overlords.
  18. Parsnips have been a success this year!
  19. Never seen it, but remember this little clip from somewhere. Must watch it!
