  1. Maybe the OP is the one who needs to look in the mirror. He’s walked off a good few sites, one OK, two is raised eyebrows, ‘a good few’ is too many.
  2. T’was ever thus.
  3. That is certainly one school of thought. Not one I adhere to I must add. I think it give too much credence to how much weight his opinion carries.
  4. Russell Brand is potentially in trouble. Multiple accusations of sexual misconduct. Been bubbling under on Twitter for a good while, but breaking now.
  5. Yep, buy a spaniel, don’t be surprised if it jumps in the water, get a terrier, it’ll disappear down a hole, a collie will herd chicks. Get a dog like a those bull mastiff things there’s a chance it’ll do what it’s bred for.
  6. Hedge removal. We are eschewing grinding after we found out we could do this. VIDEO-2023-09-13-16-57-56.mp4
  7. Nothing on here, nothing on FB for ages. What has become of him? Stateside or Durham?
  8. Interesting point, I heard opinion the flat ground blades are harder on the bearings. I have used both on my 150, performance wise, there’s nothing in it.
  9. It has to come out. It’s not coming back from that.
  10. I believe it’s called ‘parts bingo’
  11. West coast looks very wet, if you don’t like rain, but the treework looks epic.
  12. To the comments….
  13. I’d say it’s toast, they die off very quickly once they decide enough is enough. Very difficult to change the trajectory of Leylandii. Wait and see.
  14. I’d say almost certainly not. Cut it to the yellow line this year, then take it out completely next year or the year after.
  15. You can’t just live in the wild for ever like one of @Mark Bolam’s black panthers! Who knows what his intentions were, or even if he had any apart from getting out.
  16. I can’t imagine it’s that easy to leave the UK without outside help, ie passports, money, somewhere to actually go to etc.
  17. I’m with most of you lot, throw whatever bit of scrap wood you have nearby under it. Typical of Bob to come up with the perfect yet simple engineering solution.
  18. Clearing a waterway of some ash dieback stuff in the drink. Some assisted felling as well but didn’t film that. Avant making the impossible easy. VIDEO-2023-09-08-13-36-37.mp4 VIDEO-2023-09-08-13-36-28.mp4
  19. That winch isn’t listening to any excuses.
  20. Fair enough.
  21. True. I used to use the bigger ones a lot more when I did a lot of ringing up, before I had a loader and was handballing wood. Haven’t used anything bigger than my 576 in a good while. OP seems to be an afficianado of the old stuff. If it was purely about performance he’d buy a new 500i.
  22. I have run both at the same time, general consensus is the 066 is very slightly faster, but the 288 is a dream to use ergonomically. Keep the Stihl and buy the 288.
  23. Sounds like a plan. As has been said, your saw will struggle, but it’s eminently doable.
  24. Sneaky bar steward. Exactly the sort of behaviour that encourages the sort of weekend slam downs I participated in oftimes.
