Yep, buy a spaniel, don’t be surprised if it jumps in the water, get a terrier, it’ll disappear down a hole, a collie will herd chicks. Get a dog like a those bull mastiff things there’s a chance it’ll do what it’s bred for.

Interesting point, I heard opinion the flat ground blades are harder on the bearings. I have used both on my 150, performance wise, there’s nothing in it.

I’d say it’s toast, they die off very quickly once they decide enough is enough. Very difficult to change the trajectory of Leylandii. Wait and see.

I’d say almost certainly not. Cut it to the yellow line this year, then take it out completely next year or the year after.

True. I used to use the bigger ones a lot more when I did a lot of ringing up, before I had a loader and was handballing wood. Haven’t used anything bigger than my 576 in a good while. OP seems to be an afficianado of the old stuff. If it was purely about performance he’d buy a new 500i.

I have run both at the same time, general consensus is the 066 is very slightly faster, but the 288 is a dream to use ergonomically. Keep the Stihl and buy the 288.
