  1. 🤣🤣🤣 Bravo Steve, bravo!
  2. Thankfully, the support from Pekka over in Finland is exceptional and I have the replacement stub sitting here ready to go.
  3. The stubs are probably the weakest part of the machine. I snapped my first one over 2 years ago, and at the time we decided to replace both whilst it was in the workshop. Fast forward to now, and I've done probably 1000+ hours with the machine, in various terrain and on demanding sites. The snap last week I can pin point to a single incident of hitting a high stump with force, this set the axle off on a tiny bend and it got worse progressively. Yesterdays was down to a big old buttress that had been taken off these large Sitka getting caught in-between two wheels and making the machine bump suddenly up into the air and slam down, hard! Both avoidable, in hindsight, but in reality I'm trying to bash on and now I've paid the price. Such is life!
  4. If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all! Jokes aside, this is just comedic timing in reality. I should've changed this side when the machine was in getting the other one done alst week. Such is life! At least the part is there on the shelf, should be operating again come Wednesday morning fingers crossed.
  5. This will make you laugh..... (And no, this isn't the same breakdown from last week, it's the stub axle on the other side!) 🤣
  6. I’ll be following this with interest as just got an AGT 850!
  7. Some very useful suggestions and input here folks, many thanks. Seems the tilt bed is certainly worth considering. The trailer will be moving the tractor, plus various attachments as time goes by. First purchase is a winch, but looking at 6 inch PTO chipper later too. So having space would be handy. Busy looking for secondhand, anyone got any hot leads to a 16ft tilt bed that's in good nick but not totally mental price?! (Unlikely, I know!)
  8. Bumping this one back alive! Off to pick up my Alpine today (barring anything being majorly wrong with it of course) so the hunt is on for a new plant trailer. Im going to buy new, as the secondhand market is quite frankly mental money. In a bit of a quandary at the moment, as usual. Tractor is 10ft long but I’m gonna need some extra room for attachments obviously. It’ll mainly have a winch on but could also have a few other bits and bobs. Local Ifor dealer says the GH146 Tri-Axle will be in soon. That’s 14ft internal, triple axle. Around 5.5k + vat. Nugent off same length but with available as a twin axle. Slightly lighter overall. Bateson only do a 12ft I think, as do Indispension. Haven't looked into Meredith and Eyre yet, @Big J I know you rated yours.
  9. Yeah, this was fun to watch, and listen too!
  10. I bought an off-road type trolley for carting stuff to the beach with the kids. Nicely built and impressed so far. From a company/website called Outdoor Professional Products, was about £80 but only available in red or green 😜
  11. I've been following a fellow Logbullet owner who did just that. Much bigger axle, and bored out the bogey to accommodate it. The issue you have on machines like this, is ever time you strengthen it up, you just move the weak point somewhere else. The failure on this one was entirely down to me hitting a high stump that I couldn't see. It bent the axle a tiny bit, which set it on the way and it progressively got worse until it snapped. I've done the front ones twice, one was just over 2 years ago. I've done one rear one, but that had external factors too. Overall, the downtime isn't terrible and seen as we've done it a few times, the cost of repair isn't terrible either.
  12. Looks worse than it is. Stub axle sheared, it’s been in the post for a while truth be told. I’m quite amazed it lasted this long! It’s a morning to repair, done it a few times now.
  13. Unfortunately I sold the spare about 2 weeks ago 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣
  14. Another day at the office 🤣
  15. I just ordered 1000L of Red and it was 106.9 I think (my memory is so bad, it was quite literally 3 hours ago that I ordered it)
  16. I doesn't seem to come with hose or accessories either so they're an extra cost to factor in.
  17. Well spotted! Most times when things look like a mega deal, they ain't! 🤣
  18. Reviving this thread! ND3/50 CM3 - 2.2kW/3Hp 50Lt WWW.COMPRESSORSHOP.CO.UK ND3/50 CM3 2.2kW, 8 Bar, 50Lt Receiver, 230v The ND3/50 CM3 is an ideal compressor for general use for applications... Direct drive, 50l capacity, 3hp, and reasonable price? Am I missing something or is this a good old fashioned deal?
  19. I was going to add a similar statement to the “biggest issues facing our industry” thread. I can’t stand arbs doing forestry! 🤣
  20. Friday and Saturday, hope to say hello to a few.
  21. Logbullet Low Impact Mini Forwarder | Forest Machine Magazine FORESTMACHINEMAGAZINE.COM Low Impact Forestry Ltd offers an environmentally-friendly approach to sustainable timber harvesting... The digital version of last year's printed magazine feature is now available online, should anyone wish to browse it!
  22. Morning all. I’m after a basic air compressor for my yard. It’ll be used for blowing up tyres, and cleaning out saws etc, so an all singing all dancing beast is not necessary. Any recommendations out there? One of the first to pop up on the old Google search are a company called SGS, they appear well priced and UK made I think. Anybody had experience of them? SGS 24 Litre Direct Drive Air Compressor & 5 Piece Tool Kit WWW.SGS-ENGINEERING.COM The SGS 24 litre air compressor and starter kit is ideal for DIY and trade applications such as spray-painting, tyre inflation... Budget £150-200 ideally.
  23. Had the 572 and 550 out earning their keep today. They are simply stunning! The 572 is an animal, pulls the 28" bar like it's a 15"! Felling with the 572, and then snedding and processing with the 550 is a dream pairing. I shot some head cam footage earlier, I'll try and edit it later and upload if I get chance. Hats off to Mark though, amazing work @Crockylad!
  24. So the main man @Crockyhas worked his magic on 2 of my saws. The 572 is a thing of beauty! But the 550 is also a great little saw that I can't wait to use. I'll do a more in-depth look at both saws on the forthcoming weeks. So far, very impressive!
  25. I'll just leave these here for now..... 😎👌🏼🍻
