  1. I had an echo top handle well i do still have it but i dont use it!!! it wasnt a bad saw but never did want to tick over very well however much you played with it.The side handle also wasnt as easy to use as our stihl ms 201t which is a great saw.The echo isnt a bad starter saw but i wouldnt buy another its stihl all the way for me!!!
  2. I would like to know as well what you have thanks..
  3. thanks eddie really great tips in there im not to worried if we pit terram down or not really as long as there is plenty of stone it will be fine but im thinking there probably wont be enough to do it all as it is a long way and as you know a trailer load doesnt go far!!!! Im going to have to work out a price as the farmer needs it to put in the grant application. Some head scratching needed i think!!!!!!
  4. :I have just took delivery of a new oxdale and have been using it all day it does go well cuts really quick and much safer than our old mcconnel allwork bench. But it does need a few improvements one of them being an extension welded on the table so its longer so when you cut a log you can push it straight into a bucket easier its a bit slow grabbing it every time.It is super quick when you can keep pushing it over the end.But overall im happy with it for the money £1090 delivered.
  5. nice pics i would love a bit of hedging this winter is by far my favourite job!!!!
  6. some great comments thanks guys. The spec from the commision who are sorting the grant etc is to use geotextile i think the farmer probably wont buy any to be honest so really need to work out a costing to scrape of existing area then dig stone out of old quarry then level the stone on the road so need to work out a price per metre.

  11. i have a 100hp ford 7840 which would be heavier than your same but today i had a 10 tonne rear discharge spreader on the back which it handled well up a very steep bank just selected low box and went steady.I have had our 15 tonne jcb 360 on the back that was heavy but with good brakes its fine. You would be fine with 10 tonne braked no problem!!
  12. i would say pine at first look.
  13. Can anyone help with any information regarding pricing to dig forestry tracks and dig stone out of an old quarry and grade over the road per metre? Is there a standard rate i cant seem to find anything at all to help. The road needs to be 4 metres wide and the stone needs to be 150mm deep with geotextile laid underneath. If anyone could help would be much appreciated.
