  2. I still have and old parmiter we dont use anymore but if you require advice on parts etc i have a fair idea as we did ours up.
  3. it does seem like whoever you talk to they dont rate jcb i do know a chap who bought a new 2.8 ton jcb and he really likes it!!!!!
  4. I agree about the rotator maybe a claw may be an idea or maybe a manual turning grab im really not sure now!!!!! I just want something nice and handy really but i think there is a market for a mini digger in my business as long as its adaptable.Im going to have a look at a jcb just to put my mind at rest as everyone tells me they are rubbish!!!!!
  5. Thankyou for the advice i have looked at a tb016 today and had a go on it it was pretty tidy on a 09 with 1500 hours on it.They are looking £9000 for it.I think i would be happy with one will just have to find one within budget and how clean it is.I will spend more time next week looking for one and at digbits website.
  6. Thanks eddie yes the 7840 refers to my new holland 7840 sle a very good tractor!!!! Ive been looking at every make really. It sounds like the jcb isnt the best but im not sure why that is can you shed some light on that? From what i can see by secondhand values and reliability and a machine fit for our work a tekeuchi 016 looks the one i did think the 014 but looks to unstable to me without expanding tracks!!!! Any advice much appreciated thanks.
  7. I would like a new one but i doubt its going to happen!!!! I think you could probably pick up a jcb the cheapest around our area and we have a local jcb dealer.I would like any info on jcb minis if anyone has used one?
  8. I agree i think most of the machines available now are all good things have moved on a lot in the last few years.I think i will end up with a tekeuchi because we have a very local main dealer who seems good and keen to do a deal!!!! I am in touch with someone else so i will see what he comes up with but he has mainly tekeuchi.... My main concern with any machine that i own is how good the dealer, availability of spare parts etc, price of spare parts and reliability.I do like jcb machines but our local dealer is hurrendous on price of secondhand machines.Im not worried about the digger being a zero turn as it wont matter on our jobs.
  9. I have just been looking at tekeuchi specs and users opinions of them.kubota would be a good machine the engine would be great we have a bobcat 743 with a kubota 4 cylinder which is bombproof!!!! I have been looking at the tb014 and the tb016 the tb016 does seem the best allrounder but i have found a very tidy tb014 with a cab which is the right money!!!! I havent even seen a komatsu mini yet eddie i dont think we have a local dealer....
  10. Glad to know the bad points of machines.I am told that teukeuchi are the rolls royce but im not totally convinced i would say the hitachi is good from my experience,a chap told me yesterday that yanmar is very good i dont like the look of them much but tekeuchi use yanmar engines.....
  11. Where abouts are you roger we are near ludlow and generally have some timber available but maybe not the quantity you require at the moment i can make enquires though...
  12. Hello eddie my 814s is a white cab its 1988 and has done just over 11000 hours but is tidy for its age and goes really well.We did the seals in the slew brake as it was leaking badly but is now good didnt cost much to put right. There is a tekeuchi main dealer near us who does seem helpfu and we have a jcb dealer who isnt bad but expensive to say the least on secondhand kit!!!!!! I will post pics of the 814s if i can work out to do it:confused1:
  13. I do fancy a tekeuchi it does sound like they are a fair digger.I have an old 814s jcb which is a good old girl but i hear the jcb minis arent as good!!!!!
  14. Where did you see those grabs for sale? i looked at a cheap chinese thing yesterday and that was £750 plus vat.... it did come with its own rotator mind....
  15. Im not sure what make of digger to go for yet i have driven takeuchi and hitachis which are both good in a way i fancy a jcb.I have seen a 2006 takeuchi which looks okay and is £5300.
  16. I think you are right doobin im convinced it will give you the edge when moving timber and brash quickly speeding the job up which means more money in the pocket and less labour got to be good!!!! I will look at fr jones website....
  17. I havent really a problem with towing weights really as i have a defender 90 and 12 foot ifor which copes easy with a 2 tonne bobcat and grab etc.mini digger is no problem.I dont think i have seen a 2 tonne mini digger will have to google some pics!!! I have found a nice new grab and rotator for £950 its a intermacato grab and a baltrotor rotator which sounds a fair price. Its of a local dealer who is good to deal with.
