Hahaha hats off to the person who felled it probably wonted to get one over on her and is sat in the pub now pocket full of beer tokens having a giggle.:lol: But I have seen this b4 where the owners shelled out to have the work done then that try and make there money back selling it all if she manages to sell it for that pricehats off to her.
  2. Theres some nice pics there and some.very skillfull ppl always wonted to get into forestry but havent found any outfits in the lincolnshire area

I'm looking at a bounty of around £1200 can get on a course just up the road from me so that's a bonus as I won't have to travel long distance for it Hahaha hot chicks I wouldn't know what one looks like as every time I look the wife catches me will have to invest in some mirror sun glasses as well
  4. Think ur wright best to invest the money in my self and get my tickets that way with the money i save on the van can do my cs30-31 then go for my climbers tickets aswell
  5. So heres my dilema getting my bounty money soon from the army reserves and i dont know weather to put it towards my cs30-31 or do i go and upgrade my transit flat bed to a crewcab flatbed. So get my tickets and it could open some new doors for me or do i have more room for me and the family (wife and 3 children) as the van will be for everyday use ie family motor any help on this is most welcome thanks andy

  7. Hi all I get a gleaning permit from my local fc office in Lincolnshire cost me £63 for the year only hand saws allowed and u carry out what u cut really lucky as that have the local collage go in to do there chainsaw courses so plenty there any thing from 6'6 to 30 foot

I started off with an old 032av with no chain break on was a fantastic saw for its age still got it as a do upper so the wife found me a husky 345 thats ok but i perfer the stilhs so got my self a ms291 now bit over kill on some of the wood i cut but theres plenty of power there for any thing big but the 181 is a grrat starter saw

Hi all just seeing if theres anyone interested in some netted fire wood all soft wood mix of pine and burch at the minite have over 150 to be netted up at the mow was looking at about £1.80 per net im based near market rasen ln83nn also have netted kindling on offer as well same price as fire wood pics to follow all comments welcome many thanks andy
  11. The wife got me an ms291 last year for Xmas on an 18in bar well pleased with it also got a 345 husk but need a new bar last owner bent it slightly

  13. Kindle them up now should b dry in a few weeks if that i get all my pallets for free
  14. Interesting prices out there i gp to my local forestry comission pay £63 a year for a gleaning license take as much as i wont (with in reason) only prob is can only cut it with hand saw and use ur own power to move it out the woods
  15. Pallets realy good get them for free and u get the blocks aswell win win all the way
  16. What if u get ur raw meterial for free all in all it would cost me say 40p per net

  18. Day job i work at tesco been doing logs for myself so just starting to branch out looking to go into the tree side of things would like a crack at forestry but its just trying to land at the right time right place

Hi all had this idear few year back but just managed to put it all together so hears my set.up at the mow got myself a transit flat bed good work horse did pay way over for it misses got me a new sthil ms291 also got a husk 345 i think so picking wood up for free getting my hands on a shed load of pine good 6-8 foot lenghts just a pain carrying them out the woods then im picking up brocken pallets to do my kindling with was out till late last nite cutting them all up hard work ahead of me would b good to hear how u all started out thanks andy

I know times r hard and all that sold 3 bulk bags bout a month a go advert said it was all ringed and buyer would have to split when the chap arrived ended up splitting a bag for him wance loaded him up then he trys to drop the price on me saying he can get it for £25 a bulk bag told him to pay up and sent him on his way

Hi all what a great site this is hope ur all well so been doing fire wood for myself and selling a little on the side as u do but i wont to take the plunge and go into forestry/domestic tree work i know i will have to take my chain saw cource but what else will i need to do to get started i know im a little fish in a very big pond thanks andy
  23. Got a hunter herald 14 in my place with a good back boiler heats a four bed house and all the hot water as well and we just burn pine and pallet wood well recommended
  24. Nice one there made mine out of some pallets thay do the job but no way as good looking as urs
