  1. As long as it's not cut too short it's fine It's not going to kill it! Don't like doing it but needs must! Next week is a full week on the mowers for me if it stays dry.
  2. Fair enough if I'm honest I've never played the game that's why I'm clueless
  3. Most of the lawns I cut look best with setting as 1 notch from lowest on the back and 2 from lowest on front. Whatever height that is(Honda mowers) Ride on is set at 1/4 inch for sports pitches
  4. They are a known "company". Contracts managers for big contracts may be frightened to use smaller unknown companies as if it all goes wrong who gets the blame?
  5. Just wondering that's all😬😬
  6. Don't get me wrong I loved the farm. Loads for a young lad to get up to. Driving tractors from 13 and all sorts of stuff!!
  7. Why Wordpress?
  8. What puzzles me is how going abroad on holiday became seen as a right. When I was a kid we went away in a crappy caravan. Had 1 holiday in Spain when about 14. But then we lived on a farm and you can't just bugger of at harvest time. Dad used to drive the caravan somewhere stay overnight then go back home to work and then fetch us home at the end!
  9. Try starting with parish councils. Build some credibility with them.
  10. Supply and demand unfortunately. My wife's a teacher so we have no other option. But if I did I would pay the fine!
  11. Well that's a rip off !!
  12. That's one reason why it's worth paying proper money to have it done! There's no quicker way to make yourself look stupid than spelling mistakes on websites and quotes/invoices etc
  13. The actual mill is run by 2 guys. I've watched them do it. One guy cutting the other guy fetching/taking away with loader. I suppose sometimes one of the woodworkers will come and help lift with any big boards. The bandsaw does work fast though. The slide thing lifts wood somehow to get forklift under I think.
  14. Lincoln which probably does not help you much. He does do it via phone/email etc though. You probably want someone closer to home if your not up here but you do need to get someone to be aiming it at ranking on Google as much if not more than visual appeal.(it does need to look right though obviously)
  15. A friend of mine does it as one of his business's. He aims for a nice looking site. But more importantly he aims for getting your site up in the ranking so you are near the top on Google etc.
  16. There is a big timber yard near me and the machines they have in there are unbelievable . The stuff they turn out is beautiful. They do all sorts of gates, fencing, timber framed buildings. They will make anything you ask for. They have been trading since 1890 or thereabouts though. I bet some of the machines have been there 50 years or more. Real big old heavy stuff.
  17. Presumably with your new mill you are making saving on staff costs? Therefore moving the expense to machines not men.
  18. Revenue. It was bloody awkward as you were essentially having to guess how busy you were going to be a month in advance. Some weeks you would blow it by 10% but others it was down at 15%. And they also used to change allowance as it pleased them! But it averaged at 21% normally
  19. I used to manage a pub with my ex. Wage percentage had to average over the year to 21%(not including managers wage) that was for a brewery owned pub. Food was sold at 3.5 times cost.
  20. Top handled saws do have side grips as well don't they? Serious question as I've never seen one close up
  21. I think you can just stay as you are with the other stuff. Worth checking it's not classed as too close in nature to either of your business's
  22. Just register as a partnership/LTD and got VAT as and when needed. I would probably go LTD straight away to distance myself from it a bit. And VAT as soon as it makes sense.
  23. Are they not all the same? What I mean is can't you just make some now so you have them ready?
  24. You changed spelling😬😬
  25. Rubbish😬😬😬😬😬
