  1. Thanks I will look into both
  2. 😁😁😁😁😁
  3. Hi all I've just had an eye test yesterday and now need glasses. Does anyone know of any good ones? Many thanks in advance
  4. That's very easy to say when you are not the employer though I agree with the sentiment. I'm sure all employers reading this know which staff are genuine and those who aren't
  5. Why would you want it broken?
  6. How much was that? I need some.
  7. Leave them then they may change there mind when it costs them to move them
  8. Mind you it's probably not a bad rule. My wife could in theory drive my truck with the 6m trailer on it legally yet she can't even park her Citroen C1 properly!!!
  9. That's sh**
  10. Can't believe it's £500 for b and e!!! Glad I'm old!!!
  11. Weirdly putting my wife on my truck as a named driver saved me about £50 for some reason!!
  12. Nematodes are about the only thing left that's legal now. The government has just banned the chemicals
  13. Not very likely to cover tools. Not sure about trailer damage maybe need to check my insurance😁 Get some insurance for the tools though well worth it hearing all the stolen reports
  14. I think that some people expect to start a job and be paid a fortune after they see what the boss charges for jobs. Not realising the time money and effort it takes to get a business up and running to the point where you can afford to pay staff. It's a long hard road. The boss deserves to stand back a bit. He should however pay a decent wage to decent people as that is the best way to keep them and move forward.
  15. Vine weevil maybe?
  16. What's up with shoulder? I had an op on mine 3 years ago which helped for a while but it's as bad as before now!! I just keep plodding on taking pain killers and go to work. Can't let my business fail over some pain in my shoulder. (Yours may well be worse than mine) The best thing for my shoulder is to keep moving and stretching it!!
  17. Thanks all
  18. Thanks do you get these coupons from the builder or from hmrc?
  19. I've never worked anything on CIS I presume you can reclaim/account got in some way the tax outgoing so you don't end up paying too much tax? Interested to find out as there will be quite s bit to tender for this coming year nearby as there is loads of building going on!!
  20. No idea really from picture. But break it all down into separate pieces. Work out time, equipment, materials, plants etc for each area add a contingency for when something goes wrong!! And the important bit the profit!! I do a fair amount of commercial grass cutting in villages and pricing them is a pain but i find if I break it down into different areas I can work out how long each bit takes. Then I just add up and add an hour or more for loading/unloading and travel.
  21. Work out how long it will take and give him a price. He may well accept £50 for doing it. but if it takes you 20 minutes then that would be £150 per hour and he would not like that !! (Prices are just examples as I have no idea on prices for milling timber) Does that make sense?
  22. 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
  23. By that logic the battery should not drain at all?
  24. Agree with less is more. What are you certified in? I think focus on your favourite work and don't list too much as you may be seen as a jack of all. Insurance maybe tell them how much As in £10 million public liability (which would I needed to get any parish council work £2 million was not enough 5 ok but wanted 10 and it's not much more money for me but I don't do trees)
