  3. I have had a 572xp since Christmas great saw i use a 462 one of my mates has they are both cracking saws if I was a Stihl man I would own one ! there is no difference from what i can tell In the actual running it's a saw that u can buy either and which ever u buy you will be happy
  4. I have been a subby climber for the last 15 years through the years I have experienced all different types of company's and bosses In the beginning I was happy and greatfull for the work and travelled not as far as I do these days but often up to 50 miles never charging extra and been on allot less money than I charge now 15 years later I am on twice the day rate I was and probably travel twice if not three times the distance sometimes I also have to go to Europe and stay away in the UK to this is all because as your day rate goes up and your skill set is more and more fine tuned you can't work on your door step for the money you deserve there just isn't enough work to suite your skills and price answer to your question i charge enough that the distance isn't a issue it's not per mile or hrs driven
  5. I ment I wasn't hugely impressed buy the saw in stock form from husqvarna
  6. Yes it like night and day I couldn't recommend getting it sent to him any more I was hugely impressed when I first used the saw the bar and chain supplied buy husqvarna are a joke no sproket in the bar and that chain just chattered and was never sharp new or sharpened with that stihl chain on and a set of timber dogs ordered from husqvarna the saw runs rings round a 150 my ported 540 doesn't get half the used to

  10. Love the way a recall on a Makita seems no big deal not seen threads and threads of moaning and going on and on about how bad and inconvenient it is and God they just don't make saws like they used to! If it was a husqvarna would never hear the end of it [emoji23]
  11. Last Sunday we had a very big storm it rained all day very heavy Sunday while out doing storm work I was asked to go survey this tree for the contractor I did it for while trying to look over the fence from neighbours property I slipped and slammed my 20st directly on top of the pointy concrete post right on my ribs ! Idiot comes to mind [emoji849]

  14. Hit the nail on the head there Billie the amount of times I get asked to slow down or come out of the tree for a bit the job is going a bit fast I have lost count it defo is that pace difference between employed and subbys
  15. 17. Hey mick I have used both I had only used the Jensen I would be singing it's praises saying how it chipped every thing u put in it but I have used both and the forst chips faster maybe doesn't handle cord wood as well because of its smaller engine but in my humble opinion didn't handle brash as well I must add the last 328 used was off a hire fleet that had not great blades I hope it didn't taint my views as I used one befor that which was in good nick but still rate the forst for brash
  18. Yea owner was there and to be honest it took me less than a hr to strip tree really no big deal I do wish i had these brilliant ideas of how to get away with felling it God I don't no what i have been doing the last twenty years whizzing all over the country and Europe dismantling trees that could be felled I should of just rang you and got you to bring your saw and [emoji849]
  19. The land owner wanted zero damage to lawn underneath the tree so I striped stem and then took the large Lawson down next to the pine then felled pine stem onto Lawson stump to keep stem off the grass are u any the wiser now [emoji57]
  20. Why is it repeating what I post
  21. I would of thought u would know if I hadn't had to climb it I wouldn't joe [emoji849] the man who owned the castle insisted on zero dents in his lawn or trust me my 3120 would of been first saw out of truck no climbing but as a subby some times we have to climb for no reason
