  1. I’ve always sworn by the Natanoko 330 in a sawpod but lately I’ve switched to the Zubat fastened to my harness. The shape of the blade makes pruning above head height much easier. The tail of my strop kept getting caught in the handle with the sawpod.
  2. I dreamt I woke up woke, but then I woke up, thankfully......
  3. Get ready for the ban on white people singing and playing the various forms of ‘The Blues’ as well.
  4. I’ll read your post and raise you another.... It seems like only certain kinds of anti-racism are en vogue. Why can’t you get canceled for anti-Semitism? WWW.JNS.ORG As careers are ruined for often-wrongful accusations of racism, Ilhan Omar remains untouchable, despite her anti-Semitism. The same will be true for Chelsea Handler.
  5. No but it kept going into limp mode intermittently.. getting worse all the time. Someone had previously tried to ‘fix’ it by splicing wires in to bypass the main socket.. If the socket has had water in it, it means a whole new wiring loom and ECU. We had a new loom and socket fitted and a recon ECU but after it was fitted the turbo never kicked in again.... it was a nightmare. We ran it like that just to earn it’s money back then sold it for spares, Iveco main dealer wanted £6k to fit new loom and ECU. Be careful.....

  7. Iveco are prone to water ingress/corrosion to the ECU and the main plug socket that connects the wiring loom to the ECU.... I got caught with a 6.5t that had the problem and it was a very expensive nightmare, which was a real shame as the truck itself was very capable.
  8. Who do you think did build them? Volunteers, or weekend enthusiasts maybe?
  9. I can’t seem to help myself Mark, I’m always taking a curious look at CNN and NYT. [emoji51]
  10. Dr Fauci is more than an advisor, he is a major stakeholder in US ‘Big Pharma’ a murky world if ever there was one... As to whether Trump is a Christian.... I can’t answer you with absolute certainty... I’m not quite sure what your understanding of ‘what makes someone a Christian?, is.... (A sinner saved by grace perhaps?) I agree that the UK Governments handling of the situation hasn’t been all that it could have been. In order to judge them objectively we need a reference point... and there isn’t one.. I kind of lost interest when the very same people baying for Dominic Cumming’s head on a platter were out ‘protesting’ shoulder to shoulder days later. I’m getting very sick of the division and hate in society.
  11. I’m definitely not inclined Mark....particularly Dr Fauci, he is on record multiple times contradicting himself, stating that CV-19 was not going to be a big deal....... That the virus definitely wasn’t from the Wuhan lab (the very same one he was funding, to conduct c-virus experiments, coincidentally) And the WHO led by Tedros, who wanted to appoint Robert Mugabe as a goodwill ambassador (hard to believe, but true) but instead, settled on a Chinese propaganda official. Do you really trust these people Mark? I had you down as being a bit more savvy than that...
  12. ‘Modern man has both feet planted firmly in mid-air’ Francis Schaeffer This quote (which was originally a dig at post-modernism and relativism) really sums up the current global state of affairs during this pandemic. Scientists, Governments, the media, protest movements, society.... everyone...the whole lot of us.
  13. I read somewhere recently that there are more slaves in the UK now than there were in the 18th C. Modern slavery is widespread..
  14. Interesting that the word ‘woke’ is past tense. Surely trying to describe the condition of being forward thinking or ‘progressive’ would be better served by using a word in the present tense.
  15. That would be a very large pile of timber left in the garden.... (especially for non-arbs to try and deal with) The lower stem could well be full of nails etc... Large trees very often look smaller in photos.

  18. Hi Mark, doing well all things considered thanks mate. Yes a mate and I milled the boards from a dead oak that I dismantled, then felled for a BBC ‘songs of praise’ programme. (Funny enough the re-run was shown earlier today) not all my own work, it was a joint effort. Nice to be able to benefit from a tree I cut down and see it live on. Bit of sanding with 40 & 80 grit then finished with a coat of yacht varnish and some hammerite on the frame after the old paint was stripped off. The plaque came off the original bench and says. “Be still and know that I am God” psalm 46.10 Really love that table you posted recently. Got some big lumps of oak to mill soon here.
  19. Legs came off an old garden bench. The 2” plank came off the top of the stack so could have probably used a bit of weight on it to keep it straighter. Well happy with it, much nicer than the original.
  20. Hey Mark... What do think of Varadkar’s picnic, or Ian Blackford or the Labour people that have done similar things? They’ve managed to hang onto their jobs... no where near as much outrage over them, and in Varadkar’s case, he’s much more in the public eye.
  21. I can just imagine the conversation with our finance dept.... “We need a welfare van...” “What’s one of those?...” “It’s a van..” “What like a work van?” “Err, no not quite.. it’s a van that you sit down and rest in” “Oh I see.... so it’s like a van ‘not’ to work in..” “Errr.. yes kind of” “So how much is one of them then?” “Oh, I dunno, bout £30k brand new.... apparently HSE says we need them now” “ is that right!??....?[emoji23]?[emoji23]?[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]??????[emoji23]?...........
  22. Fantastic work Mark. [emoji106]
  23. Genuine question for those that think that Dominic should be sacked...... Do you feel as strongly about the Irish PM Leo Varadkar joining a group of friends in a park for a picnic? The way I see it... One guy made a judgement call concerning his families wellbeing,(If that was the case) The other guy set a very visible example for no other reason than wanting to enjoy some leisure time. I think Varadkar deserves much stronger criticism, nothing to do with politics.
