And, of course UNRWA and the Palestinian authorities have done so much to advance the cause of child welfare in the region. Ie.. teaching children the merits of genocide from an early age in their UN funded schools. Using schools to launch rocket attacks at Israeli civilian areas (where children live and play) in order to deliberately draw IDF fire so that the world can express its horror and outrage at the evil Zionist apartheid nazi regime. Teaching Palestinian kids a new variation on ‘kite flying’ Etc.. I haven’t posted any links to news articles but there are plenty out there that tell the other side of the story.

( in a previous incarnation ). I really think your onto something there. The inescapable irony here is that what was once considered ‘counter cultural’ has now become the mainstream..... who would have ever thought that ‘presenting’ as a middle aged, heterosexual , slightly conservative, white male, with a Judeo-Christian worldview would ever be classed as ‘counter cultural’. And yet.........

Hopefully, it will have a knock on effect and we will get a meaningful exit. It doesn’t even look like we’re going to get our fishing rights back, which admittedly isn’t the biggest issue in terms of real value, but serves as a good barometer to what is really happening in the big picture. It makes you wonder who is really pulling the strings? The remainers seem to have gone worryingly quiet, it’s almost like they sense they are getting their way after all.

Personally, I don’t think there is much appetite for that over there. He kept them safe and alive through a tough ordeal after all. The blame and claim culture that cripples us here in the West (started in the US) hopefully hasn’t infected them over there yet. I remember a copper over here nearly got prosecuted for wading into a lake trying to save a guy who had drowned. The rest of the emergency services were on the bank set up filling in risk assessments trying to decide whether or not it was safe to go in........

IIRC a s/factor of ~ 11 is given for blocking down. Least it is on CS 41. I think it is in the rigging research as well.

Find out the MBS of the weakest component in your system, divide it by 11, that will give you your ‘safe working load’. for the size/weight of the peice. As others have mentioned it’s best to leave out the tape sling. To convert KN to KG simply add 2x zero’s.

I merely replied to your original post. You appeared to be disparaging to people who happen to think differently to you. I just wanted to ‘stand up’ and be counted, because I see things differently and invite you to ‘take a good look’ as you put it. I’d happily meet up so you could do that.
