  1. I've got one for sale if you interested. 340hrs About 6months warranty left (so 18months ish old)
  2. I wish we had! It was only a year ago they stole my last one! Glad I had a tracker this time. This was the vehicle
  3. I've got that machine. Having had a turn table I wouldn't have anything else. Makes life so much easier!
  4. I've always used windfinder, but I believe the new version has an anemometer. The software that comes with it is straight forward to use with a bit of practice
  5. I would think both in terms of effort and accuracy. We just screw 2 sensors to the tree, 1 at ground level and 1 around 2m and leave during a windy spell to compare results. We've got 6 sensors so normally do a few near by as comparison. You can then see how much the root plate moves.
  6. Would a tree motion sensor of been a better idea to test the stability of the root plate?
  7. We have a Full time position available for a climber with experience on our team. We are located in Ightham near Sevenoaks in Kent. Starting salary of £27k. For more information please get in touch by PM or on 07712764882
  8. I've got a load of these for running the boxer on or just if the garden is really wet. Expensive but will last
  9. Yep have done risk assessments and followed them. I've not done anything wrong and want my employee to be fixed for work in the quickest time so was after advice if anyone else had been in a similar position.
  10. Situation: I have an employee who has been on a performance improvement plan after becoming lazy and in effective for a few months. He pulled his socks up and was working back to his normal standard. Today a month later he has arrived with a doctors note saying he has an RSI injury from using power tools. ( sore wrist, arm, shoulder, knee on one side ) sounded more like a stroke to me. Anyway the advice is to limit using power tools for a month. As an Employer I obviously need him working however if it is an actual RSI injury then surely no power tools would be the best way to recover. however if he's at work then he becomes a spare part as a climber who can't use a power tool so maybe best off sick until fit to carry out his job. Has anyone experience with this sort of situation?
  11. After my Boxer 532 got stolen I got a new 950HD. It's an awesome machine. There's a new Boxer dealer in U.K. So you don't need to worry about the old crap service.
  12. This is about the best picture of the trunk It was a big lump. When we micro drilled the buttress roots there was decay evident especially on the holding side. There were a lot of fruiting bodies which the owner had been picking
  13. This was a large Beech we took down last week with Meripilus
  14. Iam after a New Transit Tipper with Arb body. Can anyone recommend any good places to get one in the south east? What sort of money is good deal these days? Cheers Nick
  15. Iam looking for a groundy or climber to cover one of my guys holiday for 2 weeks starting Friday this week. Pm if available Nick
  16. Hi Jonathan, I got mine before Dave started supplying them as I had my old one stolen. The new joystick controls are good although having spent years getting used to the old levers it's taking a little practice to become second nature. It's such a well thought out machine for once. Even under one of the rear covers is all the filters remoted to make life a lot easier! It's even got a remote jump start point so you don't have to bugger about finding the battery if it was flat.
  17. My 950 is here and in action. What a beast!
  18. You know it must be good as we've had three break ins since December trying to steal it!
  19. I bought a splitta 400 with the elevator and is perfect for Arb waste. It's the only thing on the market I saw that would be any good for it. Now we have it we ring everything on site at 10" which is a great size log once split. Then when we come to split we fire it through around 12 cube an hour. If we have been doing big rings then we pre split them in half with our upright splitter on our boxer
  20. I've ordered my 950HD. Can't wait for it!!
  21. That's awesome. What sort of money is one of those?
