  1. However the American doctor hadn't even examined baby Charlie... According to GOSH every single expert doctor that had examined Charlie said that "nothing could be done for him".... It just seems bizarre, IMHO, to go to the High Court on the back of the opinion of a doctor's opinion who hadn't even seen baby Charlie. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/jul/25/michio-hirano-us-doctor-intervention-charlie-gard-case-raises-ethical-questions
  2. From what I undertand there is no treatment that would have made baby Charlie "better". His eventual death was inevitable. Of course maybe the doctors at one of the best children's hospitals made a mistake and this American doctor could have cured Charlie. However I understand that the American doctor hadn't examined Charlie or even read his case notes.... I bet Great Ormond Street Hospital spent a million quid on legal fees fighting this case. Maybe that money should have been spent on healthcare for sick children? I bet many GOSH doctors were tied up looking at Charlie's case. Maybe it would have been better for them to have spent that time looking after other kids?
  3. Wow! The best selling book on Amazon's UK site is the latest book from Tommy Robinson. It's as if the general population are no longer believing the lies from mainstream media and politicians.
  4. Charlie Gard's parents are back in court because they want more time with their son. Maybe they should have spent less time in court and more time with their kid... i can't help thinking of the people that have donated money to Great Ormond Street Hospital and wonder if they'd be happy with that money being used on lawyers and barristers...
  5. The above diagram shows a "Heras" fencing system. Sometimes the footings are retained in place by a couple of shovels of concrete.
  6. Maybe men earn more because women take years out of their career to look after their children? I have to admit my perception from working in an office is that men do more unpaid overtime and are keener to get promoted. At 5pm in most offices I worked at the women were all leaving.... Women want equality of outcome in salaries. It's only fair that we should also have equality of outcome in life spans..... Let's reduce spending on women's healthcare and spend it on male healthcare. It's the only way to get rid of the injustice of men living less. Exactly! Men do the most dangerous jobs in society. Yet you never hear the Media whine about it.
  7. Retirement ages should have been equalised decades ago though... So what's been done to equalise average life spans of men and women? Surely we can all agree that it's unfair that women live, on average, 3 years longer than men? The NHS should obviously spend less on women and more on men. To do anything else is sexist. It's also grossly unfair that most combat deaths are of men...
  8. It's well known that women live longer than men. Yet women get their state pension years before men. Maybe that's more of an injustice than the BBC paying female stars less than male stars?
  9. it's a little known fact that civil engineers have saved more lifes than the medical profession. I think every civil engineer should get free parking and a new car.
  10. yeah, if someone drives to work and parks outside their place of work they obviously aren't really parked at their workplace I've tried to follow your logic and have now given up.
  11. Many people that work in towns and shopping centres etc have to pay to park if they drive to work. People even pay to park at train stations before they get the train to work. It's just something that people in the private sector accept as part of life. However it's obviously completely unreasonable to expect anyone working in the public sector to pay for parking.
  12. Yeah, no one in London has to pay to park most people that work in a city/ town centre will have to pay to park their car....
  13. Many private sector workers have to pay to park at their workplace....
  14. I used to think Gary Lineker was an ok guy. However after he turned into a SJW I can't stand him. I've not bought a packet of Walkers crisps sine he turned into a grade A luvvie.
  15. to beat my favourite drum again. it's shocking how pensions/ state services are cut due to lack of money then we allow migrants in that suck up taxpayers money and contribute little.
  16. when you design a new road it's normal to have three or four possible routes. what do you think would happen if you told landowners "sorry old chap, you cant build there as we might need that field for a new road"? the landowners will say "fair enough me old mucker, give me £5m compensation".
  17. tbh, I agree... I don't think the case has been proved for building HS2. I'd rather the money was used on upgrading/electrifying existing lines.
  18. So what do you suggest then? We never build new roads or railways again?
  19. when you look at the cold hard evidence it's clear that third world migrants: 1. take more from the taxpayer than they pay in tax. 2. commit proportionally more crime. 3. Are less likely to work. 4. Commit more terrorist offences. Does anyone ever watch the TV programmes about Sheriff Officers going after unpaid debts? It must be at least 50% of the people not paying their debts are migrants...
  20. Were the British people ever asked if they wanted third world migrants into Britain? The reality is that third world migrants make Europe a less nice place to live.

So what is it grown for?
  22. Good point! What do you think of the ethnic genocide in modern times though?
  23. When you look at the history of mankind we've had some right stupid ideas. We used to burn old women alive because they had a black cat and they were obvioulsy witches. Doctors used to think bleeding sick people would cure every single medical ailment known to man. We used to think smoking was healthy because it cleared out the lungs. I can't help thinking multiculturalism is a similar idea that will look idiotic in years to come... It clearly hasn't made Europe a better place to live....
  24. I'd imagine most guys on this site earn significantly less than £30k a year. How do you think you come across when you say £60k a year is "not that much"? You might earn lots of money, however you don't come across as a likeable person....
  25. £60k is over twice the average UK salary...
