  1. tbh, I cant help thinking that the only way to do this properly is just remove the wrinkly tin and replace with insulated cladding/ roofing.
  2. tbh, if I was a developer building a new house I wouldn't want a 25m high hedge next to it... Who wants to look out a window at a dark green hedge over towering your house... As others have said he can only cut the branches to his boundary (not your fence). If you wanted to play hardball you could ask him to pay for a tree surgeon to trim the hedge? I cant help thinking the trees should just be cut down. If you trim them now the job will just have to be redone every few years (at a fair cost). If they are trimmed and they fall down you could spend tens of thousands on legal fees. If it was me, I'd meet the developer and if I thought he was an OK guy I'd just cut the hedge down. If I thought he was a knob I would only send a legal letter saying "you can cut the tree down to the boundary but if it falls down we will sue".
  3. tbh, I have no trouble reading your comments but I do find it hard to understand them... I think that's more a reflection on you than me.
  4. So the guy that blew up the Manchester Arena is a "freedom fighter"?
  5. 20 shot/ killed in Las Vegas. Something about a shooter firing into a concert from a high rise.
  6. No. I had had a strong sense of déjà vue with your comment though. It must be the millionth time I've read such a comment.
  7. I don't think anyone is suggesting we stop trading with the EU.... Anyway, what do you think all those farms around the UK are growing?
  8. It doesn't say a lot for our european "friends" if they are so keen to shaft us... You really think it sensible to remain in a club where we have to pay money or suffer the consequences? Is that not basically a protection racket? They slow our exports and we slow theirs as well. We do have a trade deficit with the EU, so it's debatably who has the bigger stick. If we weren't in the EU they would love to have a Free Trade Agreement with the UK... When all those european workers start losing their jobs it might focus minds... A deal has to be ratified by the 27 member states of the EU. I can't see that happening. Hard Brexit here we come!
  9. I never knew that the World Trade Organisation allowed tariffs of 250%? How about we put tariffs of 6 million % on EU imports to the UK? That'll teach them.
  10. Tbh, I'd rather have no deal than get the crap deal the EU wants to give us. Apart from free trade the EU really isn't that good... Do any of the countries with a Free Trade Agreement with the EU give the EU billions? No, they don't.... So why should we give the EU billions a year for a Free Trade Agreement?
  11. Another two killed in France today in a terrorist attack. But yeah, you keep banging on about those evil racists
  12. Perhaps you could define "racist" for us? There are some obvious physical differences between the races. For instance "white" people are better at ingesting milk than other races. Do you think that saying "africans and Asians are poor at ingesting milk" is racist? Last week you were saying the racist political parties were going nowhere...now you are saying the "far right" is rising across the globe. You change your opinion more often than your socks....
  13. So it's not right for the police to use violence but if someone has a "conflicting opinion" it's OK for you to assault them? You're either an expert troll or you really are a messed up individual.
  14. Mark, how can you justify criticising the Spanish police when you come out with stuff like this?
  15. However the fact is that "foreigners" are the root cause of a lot of problems in the UK/ Europe. The biggest problems (Imho) facing the UK are terrorism and austerity. There wouldn't be islamic terrorism in the UK if we hadnt invited Muslims in.... "foreigners" generally do low paid work and are a drain to the taxpayer. Are you really happy that the Government cuts back services to Brits so that "foreigners" can get benefits and free houses? The you look at stuff like road congestion and building on green belt land. All things made worse by "foreigners". If "foreigners" we're making a great contribution to the UK no one would complain about them. However they don't make much of a contribution....
  16. I never understand the fascination in the Kardasians... Kim K looks like she is deformed below the waist...
  17. I bet Khan wouldn't go to Northern Ireland and stop the bonfires there.... One thing you've go to give the Irish is that they know how to build a bonfire.
  18. If you sell property you can put conditions on the title deeds that affect what the new owner can do with the property. My legal understanding is that the person that put the conditions on can really only legally do something if they are still a neighbour. Does the Housing Association still own neighbouring properties? I'd imagine as long as you're not going to greatly impact on the visual street scene you would get permission to cut trees down - if it was a small tree I'd be tempted to just cut it down.
  19. According to the mass media the big story from today is Prince Harry and Meghan had a date and were walking "hand in hand"... It's bizarre that the media think people really care about stuff like this.
  20. What can I say. Sometimes I think you're actually an OK guy then you come out with stuff like this. On the plus side you're not actually threatening to kill people. What I find amazing is that you know a lot of employers read this website. You really think many people read your stuff and think "this guy MarkJ seems the type of guy that could work well in a team and interact well with customers"?
  21. You don't get it. People throughout Europe are turning to the "far right" because they no longer care about being labelled as "racist" by people like you and Mark. AfD are meant to have up to 100 seats in the German Parliament....
  22. I think he's referring to the amount of swear words MarkJ wrote. I quoted Mark before hen edited his post...
  23. You shouldn't drink then post.... I'm thinking of pitching my business idea on Dragons' Den. It's a breathalyser attached to a computer. You'd have to blow into the breathalyser before you could post on Internet forums.... It would save people like you making fools of themselves...
  24. An exhaust is just made from thin steel. Scaffold tubes generally use thicker steel so I think they'd be OK. I'm not sure if constricting the outlet from the exhaust would affect your tractor - easy enough to experiment and maybe have two scaffold tube outlets.
  25. "Racist "? Well done for using your favourite word again. When you travel you do realise how good we have it in the West. Why are we risking our nice safe prosperous countries by inviting in migrants from some of the poorest most violent countries on earth? I think most of us here would admit that Europe is suffering increasing amounts of terrorist attacks. We all know it's the one demographic behind these attacks....
