So the domestic clients might be scared off because they won't be able to not pay up for ages? I'm sick of the flippin customers that think they can hold off paying up. Last Wednesday I took 3 connys out and ground there stumps out. When I went up to the house at the end the guy had gone out, I left the invoice and put on payment by return please, a week later and I'm still waiting, it really pees me off that folk think they can have work done then make you wait. It's on reason why I hand am invoice over at the end of the job and ask for a cheque. The excuses they come up with sometimes are unbelievable. I too have been stung with the old " we have lots of work comi g up on our various property's and we want to use you on them.....if you can keep costs down!" Them I see someone else working there!! I cut up a nice ash the other week it was 40" at the bottom maybe a bit bigger, I used the 395 XP with 36" bar and felled it, then to try the 372 with 28" for a laugh, logged it up and I was supprised how well it ran the 28" normaly I would only run a 24" on it. I had tri pod but nowhere near as stable. I sold em. I used to do like mick said but theses are so much better, I sometime have to do it the old way but mostly use the platform. Sent from Hodge's eye phone using the new fancy Arbtalk Mobile App:)

I agree but I work 5 days if the work load needs but if I want a day off then I take it. Life's to short to be working 6-7 days a week. I have a really good quality set of platform ladders, very well made. I can't remember who Nader them but I have posted on here before about them. The are awesome. I will find out the details and get back to you. They save so much time when doing hedges they soon payback the investment. Mine were around £400 and I can cut at 16 fr when full extended.
