  5. I can see both sides as being an employer and employee because I have done the same. If a family member asked one of my employees (when I had them) to do a job then I wouldn't have a problem, maybe I would even hire them the chipper but if it was for a friend or a friend of a friend or they were doing it regulary or taking jobs I had priced then I wouldn't be so happy and would get rid. I think the op should use common sense really, and I don't think if I was doing a job for family I would be writing quotes with payment terms etc, I would agree a price for what they want and that's that. We all knows it goes on he just needs to use his noodle a bit:) Sent from Outerspace.

Another fun job today as the weather was good and we got it stripped out by lunch and jut had to fell the stem and log up and move the timber, 2 loads of chip to go down the road for a mate, I sold 1 10x5 trailer and the rest I kept and monkeysteve who climbed took a load too, paid up and some tinnies as a tip, done by 4pm. We used the landy winch with a re direct off an Oak tree to fell the stick up hill. Sent from Outerspace.

  25. All you need to know is ANY wood will burn as long as it is dry, some will burn hotter, some longer but it will burn. I burn all sorts on my wood burner and I get the flue cleaned every year and the sweep always comments on how clean the flue is, which is down to the fact that what I burn is dry.
