  1. Interesting. Is this a water absorption thing? Upthread^ someone said use silica: silica crystals are used for water absorption packs in electrical equipment. Would honey work? Honey is an emergency first aid cure-all and bread curls when spread with honey cos the bread is drying out on one side only as the honey draws out the moisture. It's not magic; just water being drawn in to a concentrated solution. And the thorn with it.
  2. Thanks for that; hadn't made that connection before. I have an odd head; I rely very heavily on n'monix.
  3. You are correct. It is water with added water diluted in water.
  4. Apologies to Hairony above^^ It now appears that there was an assistant coach and a head coach and one went in and the other... Now I'm confused too. Happy Days Yourn
  5. Oh come on! To boys that age, and older <looks around>, a sign saying Danger just reads Big Adventure: Enter Here
  6. The story emerging is that he went in to look for them when they were reported missing; I han't been able to verify this independently though.
  7. ching-clunk Would have. If you want to be taken seriously, rather than just come over as a drunken poltroon, you should at least attend to the finer points of grammatical convention. Oh! and an ellipsis is indicated by three dots not two. Thus...
  8. Ther's a chap does the same over at my usual hang. Some call him a contrarian. Others call him other things.
  9. He may understand 'A is for Apple'; any thing beyond that is doubtful.
  10. No! It's the job of a jury to decide if a crime has been committed,
  11. I used a similar cheap jobby for bramble clearing with the oregon mulcher blade to save wrecking a 'best one'. Gos oregon mulcher blades are mean kit wreckin sons of half-hitches. The one I got has a bigger engine so heavy but durable and loads of torque. It does get through shafts though, I started turning and re-drilling them and then keeping an eye on ebers for local parts for pennies but then hit upon the idea of beefing up what I got (the quick release catch is fine: the tube gets torn to pieces). I have since drilled and tapped the cast fitting that holds the tube and also the strimmer head and associated tubes to take two short M6 allen bolts which go right into the tube rather than just tightening up against it. Holds everything tight and the job is a good one. Happy Days Yourn
  12. Hmmm. Reckon you might have an ace in that hand of yours Wyatt.
  13. I'll see your vole and raise you... a dormouse!
  14. To what extent does this^ depend on the land-owner? Surely if Nat. Trust or Local Council by-law says no camping on ground owned by them, then no camping there is.
  15. I'm not sure what you think the disinfectant will do. If disinfectant were an effective antidote to knotweed, wouldn't we be spraying the knotweed with it? Sorry if I've missed the point here.
  16. Take off, Get into orbit, Nuke it, Replace posts as necessary.
  17. ...but that's an awful lot of very shiny kit for £350, considering the state of the one in the original ad and the price of any other half decent one. Very clean, worth twice as much. Get those logs done while you can mate. ETA very shiny
  18. True dat
  19. Aha! That's the bit I was missing. I was being too Star Trekky/put it in the microwave and replicate it Thanks for that.
  20. No. If it's stolen it gets taken away. I thought afterwards, as you are in touch with bank fraud department who will know just where to look, If they are a legit company they would have a legit account and not be relying on grandads account: get the bank to check the attempted use in M&S; companies may have to be registered at company register house (or other) check this too. Sounds like they've had to acquire one from somewhere. But good luck all the same.
  21. I thought the same thing. But then I thought well, won't you just end up with a nice new faulty part copied from the old faulty part. I know nothing about 3D printing. What am I missing here?
  22. the grandfather account is a myth: there is no grandfather account; or grandfather. they are all players playing a part. they are probs out now looking for something to match the photos they took of some random kit some while ago. if anything is delivered, check it for hire company logos stickers and numbers. be suspicious: very suspicious of everything. good luck I gotta dash; someone get on their ebay page and do a google picture search on the pictures they have used. sometimes these are straight out of local trader mags and can be found
