  1. I'm going to leave it in piles as it should not affect any thing in the edge if the plantation if you know what I mean. So it won't affect the wips as long as they are not planted in the chip also got to treat the alder stumps was going to spray with glyphosate with a food diy in with the mix that should that be ok?   2. Got some alder to clear round some cricket bat willows and want to chip the alder and leave it in place. When the chip rots down will it affect any newly planted willows?? It probably won't but want to be sure thanks in advance
  3. Have heated handles on all me saws if they get to hot I turn them off. when it's pissing down with rain I have them on all the time it makes the day more bearable

  7. I thought a Danish pie cut was when you left a small corner on the back cut so you can put a wedge in then cut under the corner so you did not hit the wedge or felling leaver

  10. We get new fruit trees that are double grafted supposed to make a more productive tree. And they can recover from rabbit damage as long as a they have not chewed too far in to the stem

  14. You can open the visor not fully though, and it dose block the torch as well might not with the other petzel head torches but it dose with mine
  15. It's a petzel light that fits same as the climing lids. really good helmet though really pleased with it.

  17. Thanks for all your advise would have more work for a compact as have some woodlands to manage and would be able to put other things on it. You are right on hiring it as machine only as it can be a bit of a recking service

  19. If the work was there steep or flat I would take it really. At the moment not much just seeing if there was some interest in it really before I went and got one
  20. I was thinking of a alstor 8x8 or a small alpine with a timber trailer would like some thing that can be moved easily really. I think I would go more along the lines of a compact as would be more versatile any thoughts??
  21. Hello all. I am thinking of investing in either a compact forwarder or a compact tractor and timber trailer to either hire out on a self drive basis or with driver. Would this be some thing people would be interested in hiring. Just want to test the waters a bit. Would be based around Suffolk Norfolk and Essex and the surrounding counties.

In the wood I mainly use my 550xpg on a 15inch bar on a semi chisel chain with a 8 tooth sprocket awesome saw will fell big timber all day and it's light weight well balanced and power full for a small saw also run a 372xpg on a 20" and a 24 inch bar to but that's mainly as a back up for the bigger timber still a awesome saw though

  25. Sorry about the spelling was writing this while balling. Well he want to use it for fire wood for him self. The person who owns the poplar want him to make him a offer for it and he wants to know how much to offer him for the standing poplar
