  7. Just a heads up for anybody round the rochdale area. Thieving scumbags have been in the van and relieved me of my wallet and and a colleague of a bag with all our keys and paperwork. Nothing really important stolen but just so annoying. You can't turn your back for a minute these days. Sent from my HTC One using Arbtalk mobile app

  10. I think really you want a windblown trees course but you wont be abke to do that without a basic chainsaw course first. Processing windblown trees can be really dangerous as yhere is a lot of weight and pressure forces involved. You really should have some real training before carrying out this kind of work. 13. Hi all, working on a site at the moment and we have a bout 100 tons of mixed hardwood available. Mainly ash maple and a bit of alder. Just seeing if there is any interest. It's roadside and the access is pretty good. Pm me for anymore details. Thanks John

  15. Thanks mate
  16. Wen went to another job in the end so at least didn't have to lose a day over it. Yeah they have been out and look just not mentioned it. To be honest I expect he would probably just chance it. This sort of stuff has cropped up once it twice before and To be honest honest I got a similar reaction it's like your purposely trying to sabotage them. I can understand were they are coming from but I don't think it's worth the risk or the fines etc. The only way to do the job safely really is a shut down.
  17. I work for these guys all the time. I've been climbing for ten years now though so I'm pretty experienced. What said id what I thought should be done be done. Nothing else has been said or changed just go told to go back and do it.
  18. The paper with the address had no mention of a power line
  19. Hi guys, just a quick I'm having a problem at work about a job we were sent to do. We origionally went last Friday to remove a small euc and reduce some conifers. When I had a proper look it's super close to a power like maybe a few feet. Wet and windy day so we decided against it. Was way to close and I diddnt feel it was safe. On top of that we shouldn't really be doing it anyway. Went back to the office to plenty of pulled faces etc. So today gets the days sheet, first job back to the electric hedge, similar weather etc so again said I wasn't happy to do it. Again meagrely pulled faces and snappy comments from manager. Absolutly nothing constructive. Just childishness really. Basically just got told we might as well go home. Anyway I'm a bit out out now and feel like I'm the one in the wrong even though I know I'm not. Anyway I'm just after a few opinions on what others think. Cheers

  23. If the situation means you have to liwer the stem. As its not to big. Cut pieces you could manage by hand. Step cut them and place them into the rigging tgen you groubdy can just let tgem down nice and easy. No shock load and no burnt hands.
