  1. I find it so frustrating that each council has such different processes for checking firstly any restrictions and then applying. The council we mainly apply with expect a very detailed application, compared to another recently who altered the detailed application to : "prune Oak by crown reduction and crown lifting." !!

    Hours

We start at 7.30-5pm or until the job gets done. Do you guys have sub-contractors and if so, do they work the same hours?
  3. Thank you everyone for your replies and recommendations - much appreciated! Am ready to get on the phone first thing tomorrow. Back to it after the Christmas break. Happy New Year to you all.
  4. Can anyone recommend a company who provides temporary traffic lights? Looking for them to provide services in SE London and the Kent / Surrey borders. Three companies have failed to even respond so far! Any help much appreciated. Thank you.
  5. No problem - having said that my email to them yesterday is still waiting a response...... Always the way!
  6. I tend to email either Gwen Exford or Mark Cannon and get a response same day. Direct emails are [email protected][/email]. Hope you have better luck.
  7. Thank you - as it turned out a local company contacted us as they were running a course! Perfect timing.
  8. Hi All We have a new staff member who needs to attend a one day Emergency First Aid at Work with Forestry in or around Surrey. Can anyone recommend somewhere who provides the course for one delegate? The rest of the team attended an in-house course with an instructor earlier in the year. Thank you.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
