    Thanks mull29 and rich, hope this pic helps rich , I just cut half the ledger and half the upright frame then screw through with a 4" screw!

    Here's a pair of gates I made last week 2m wide opening 1.8 high, not very stylish but I think neat enough to match the rest of the fencing

  8. I got done over in south devon in 2010 lost just over 2k worth, left my nearly new i w trailer and just took saws blowers etc, it hit me hard being a small one man band.... They also came back within the month for another go!! Fortunately the few items I had replaced were at home with me..
  9. Haha thanks tractor boy , can't believe I didn't get the LGP duhh! So yes it was built with that in mind , they are off a ride on mower (rear wheels)... Yep definitely a little harder to pull but not to bad, the wheels are on a pull pin axle so I can take them off and use wheel barrow wheels if necessary
  10. Excuse my ignorance but what's "LPG work" I had those wheels kicking round the workshop so stuck them on. I use it for pulling felled larch (8') down hill to a ride in a sensitive site were working on
  11. Ex Devon and Dorset infantry, loved my time in, did the usual tours N. I, Bosnia.... And plenty other places in between.... been running my own business ( rural contracting ) last 12 years and enjoying life

  17. Yep I had the same experience with a gas service, it was about 10" below the lawn and the gas chap tried saying that the lawn had sunk and so forth but stick to your guns and they should back down
  18. Some utility company's do a 'ring before you dig' service .... They'll come out and identify where their services lie... And don't forget your not liable for any damage to services above 18"
  19. Hi Jon, yeh the little fella in the front is my 8yr old boarder terrier named 'flint' and the one behind is 'billy' my 3yr old parsons Russell terrier, my constant companions!

  21. Have you looked at the 'RB44' carrys loads pulls loads and 4x4 and dont cost the earth!
