What about some torx button flange head screws/bolts instead of self tapping screws. Just thinking the self tappers might turn into something of a bed of nails, unless you're going to grind them flat on the reverse side ?.

Whilst it's probably a little sexist, dealers could atleast send out the sexy young thing with the bill. Atleast when I'm paying handsomely for something she could briefly distract me as card payment goes through then disappear.

Well we've given the French another what 10 million for absolutely sweet fa. Whilst I see the idea behind paying them to do something, maybe we should rethink the whole 63 million scheme. For each successful crossing we deduct 10k per person, as we aren't returning anyone and they're going to be here forever. Would the numbers actually increase if we paid them zilch?.

Maybe the British government could just cut out the smuggling gangs, rock up with a ferry and save all this at sea hijinks and take the 5-10k direct. They're doing practically zero to stop them so we might as well cover some costs before giving them the 4-5 star hotel room at our expense.

Whilst Stihl and Husqvarna are expensive, the alternative is buy cheap buy twice. My primary 261 is from 2013/14, it's 2020 backup replacement sits in the workshop and gets the dust blown off it every now and again. See if one of those Hyundai 62cc's lasts almost ten years of almost daily use.

Think we would all say something along the lines of you don't have to spend it all either. Spend wisely and buy what you need, not what you want. You can always trade up, not down and whilst you want to compete with the other guys. Nothing wrong with a little freelance work, especially if you've got your own gear to get the ball rolling.

Why not weld or rivet on some strips of aluminium, 1-2mm to act like a ladder.

How big are potato boxes, I've been using IBCs. Decent volume, easy to hand and customers can buy either full or half. Drying is more about wind & air movement than just keeping the rain off, outdoors my average is 16%. Worst mistakes I ever did in the beginning was using the barn, pointless waste of time and effort.

IBC stacked 2 high with a plywood timber roof on each stack that overhangs 3" all way around. Tarps work well providing they overhang down 6". Never need to bring them inside unless it's barrow bags filling

I like the phrase, nobody is picky about firewood when they're cold. Providing it's dried and kept dry, it all burns. Not the greatest I will freely say but never bad to have more firewood than you need and mix it.
