    I've not checked my vehicle insurance, but I was told the underwriters have changed for my business insurances. Gallagher's have stopped doing it and a company in South Wales has taken over.

    L200 etc all with NFU, always best ringing the local agent and having a chat with them about what you need.

    Have you looked at the spares drawings section of the grillo website. The operators manual doesn't really say much if interest except mower deck greasing points etc. A picture of model of the engine or model number would help. Air filters are usually on top and easy to access, the oil filters might require a bit of contortion without cover removal. Oil will probably have a extend hose with a yellow cap or similar if it's a Briggs.

    Can't you buy a set of weld on brackets ?. Tractor ones such as euro 8 are like £60, bit of box section or similar to make a frame and a couple of bale spikes or solid tube. With a bit of welding and materials probably less than £200.

    Guess it all depends on how much a headstock costs on its own before fabricobbling a half decent death trap :).

    From vague recollection, it's UL listing. All drums are rated for fuel oil as a result. Co-op have moaned once about having my boot open whilst filling a 5 litre. Nobody else has providing I'm not also filling up the car.

    Marked and approved as per 5litre petrol, in either plastic or metal at forecourt and has been for decades. Metal jerry cans are approved and ok.

    So is that a big oil filled sprag clutch bearing?. Would explain why it all free wheels but won't engage under power as the rachet mechanism is knackered.

    Is it an electromagnetic clutch system, direct drive via the belts or hydraulic?.

    Thor's underwear, why am I picturing a string thong made of orange polypropylene rope!.

    Presumably all ropes are CE marked as a minimum. It's the same argument for budget tyres Vs Michelin. They all meet a very basic standard, so expect to get the job done with both but the quality of the materials, how it's put together and feels in the hands are the important factors during use and possibly even how long it'll last.

    Why not ask woody to get the agco part numbers for the 24 & 34" rims. You can then price it up from kramp ?. Then atleast you'll know if the dealers are on par price wise.

    The ratio will be fine as the 24 & 34" rims are listed as standard spec sizes from what you've said. If you want to thumb through your book, they'll be a page on tyres with MFD, I have a vague recollection of a ratio of something like 1.4

    Just be prepared for around a 3k bill for rims & tyres, but it's an expense that will be worth it and make a usable tractor. Annoyingly, I sold my old front W10x24 rims last year for £200 without tyres. Best also measuring the centre hub sizes and between bolts. Rears 150 & 205 bolt, front 220 & 275 bolt are mine and exactly the same as the link previously.

    Aren't the magnets normally embedded into the flywheel casting ?. Just looking at a 60year old Kohler on my scrap pile, it's bolted inside the rear of the flywheel. Would have assumed that the design had improved since ?.

The tractor axles aren't valtra, all brands buy in axles mostly ZF.
