  1. On a lease can you claim back a percentage of the fuel you use or is that not possible?
  2. The only thing for me is it takes up a lot of space for the return in terms of heat. However, it does dry quickly so I never throw it away.
  3. Full or part time gardener required in the Newcastle area. Must have full clean licence and be reliable and prepared to undertake tasks with the minimum of supervision. Pay dependant on skills and experience.
  4. I use fence lats or similar to make frame and the tack nails to secure it. Inside the frame I use hard core and then sharp sand on top. Works well every time.
  5. Scale insects are along the leaf vain. Looks like white fly are the other insects. Neither eat leaves but are both sap suckers.
  6. That's cheap for sleepers? Would be £20-25 here per sleeper. So I think price is more than fair. Top soil is cheap too.
  7. My 2008 L200 had same. New fuel filter and £21 later back on the road.
  8. I've burnt Arbutus before. Bit like hawthorn. Heavy, burns hot too. Dries quick if I remember. Great small tree for the garden with small edible fruits that taste of nothing in particular.
  9. Big money in it now. Everyone wants a stove and few fitters about!!
  10. Does that price include all the insulation too? I paid £1200 fitting. Bought the stove on line saved around £300. I was very surprised when they were finished by 1300hrs.
  11. I have a morso 04 it's a great little stove. Gives off great heat and with the help of a thermostat is easy to control.
  12. The report was about an old wood near Newport in South Wales. They said that once felled and the bark removed the timber would be good for fence posts etc. I don't remember anything about a van though, horses and gates spring to mind.
  13. Cheers Chris. I had expected some sarky comments from some less than helpful colleagues. Lol.
  14. Lol. Not many Pols in the area, don't think they speak Geordie.
  15. I run a small landscaping business in and around Newcastle upon Tyne. I have more than enough work for one lad or lass. I have a lad at the minute who when he turns up is great. However, if there's a footie match involving Newcastle I might not see him for two or three days. I need someone reliable! Where would be a good start to look?
  16. We have a trained stone Waller who works for us in Newcastle. He normally does the summer with us and winter building walls in Northumberland. Must be the coldest most fatiguing job ever. Cold stone, northerly winds and freezing weather. Hard as nails.
  17. My blade snapped cutting some shrub roots out. Otherwise a great saw.
  18. Ian can you let me give me a price for Gardens by Serendipity Telephone 07950644033 Cheers. Mick.
  19. It's a bit too late now. If I get another I will put it in here and someone will get some better use from it.
  20. Is cedar actually a good firewood? I have cut and split a 50ft Lebanese Cedar and will be disappointed if it's not good as a firewood.
  21. Only if you are towing. Pickups like hilux and ranger are classed as motor cars. If you are pulling a trailer in any car there are speed restrictions.
  22. Friend of mine just had a similar op. AC joint repair. 1 hr operation by keyhole. 6-8 weeks where the shoulder can't be moved at all. Then 3-6 months before he goes back to work properly. 70% chance of success!
  23. This one was 65 meters. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk mobile app
  24. If you can cut some 4x4 posts across the diagonal they form nice bracers to secure the pallets together. Both sides top and bottom. Then felt the roof and off you go. I've even used spare artificial turf to give it the green look. Doesn't need mowing either! You could also just adapt crates that paving comes in, they are easy and can be placed on top of each other, solid and will never rot. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk mobile app
