  1. The item from Germany is around £800 cheaper than a similar item here in the UK, and that's after I've paid for delivery.
  2. The tests were carried out using my business PC, which is wired. My wife complains about speed when using wifi and an iPad, which I assume will be slower. According to one web site we should be getting 5.5 Meg.
  3. If found some kit at a reasonable price on EBay, however it's being sold by the company in Germany. It will fit on a pallet and can be shipped no problem. The price included tax etc. I assume I'll not have to pay any sort of UK tax to get it into the UK. Any thoughts?
  4. I have Sky broadband and it feels slow. So I've visited 4 broadband speed check web sites, run the test and the results are in the range .. Download 1.2 to 1.8 Meg Upload 0.53 to 0.62 Meg Not sure if these results are good or bad, or how to improve them, hope someone here could help?
  5. So this is the company details... WEIFANG RUNSHINE MACHINERY CO.,LTD Gudi Town Industrial Zone Hanting District Weifang, SHANDONG, 26110 CHINA Phone: 8613105271932 Fax: +835367568016 Languages Spoken: English, Mandarin
  6. How about a Great Customer Service thread?
  7. Came across this forum Australian visas & immigration discussion May help!
  8. If you don't ask you don't get....... good luck with the job search.
  9. Some rope manufacturers advise against pressure washing as it tends to push dirt deeper into the rope. Others suggest that ropes should not be spun, but air dried. Most suggest a maximum of 30 degree C on a delicates cycle, using a mild non-bio detergent. Brush dirt off the rope before washing.
  10. So what happens if you need a repair or service?
  11. I do wonder at times if we in the UK are being stitched up by the big boys and if they conspire against the smaller players to keep them out of the UK, so as to keep prices high..... any whistle blowers willing to tell all. ???
  12. we are part of Europe, so there is nothing to stop you buying Stihl products anywhere in Europe if they are cheaper than the UK.
  13. It's sad it's come to this .... if I were the boss of Stihl i'd be kicking some ass on Tuesday. This has the makings of a PR nightmare, what with customers slagging the brand off and dealers letting tales on each other just to gain market share. Very poor show.........! And one final thought ....... if I were a dealer and Stihl was my main source of income I'd be looking to diversify, just in case !!
  14. Out of interest I've just searched on line for Stihl chainsaws. Looks like our Scottish friend has his work cut out !!
  15. How can Stihl discriminate against UK consumers in this way? I would have thought EU rules would allow an order to be placed online in any EU country for delivery in any other EU country. So let's have a link to the French online store, place an order and see what happens.
  16. I went to a local auction as they had 4 being auctioned off, all were none runners, engine parts missing, broken or missing drives, and missing tracks. They each made £1100, madness! Mind you there are no more bargains to be had at plant auction, some stuff went close to New price for second hand stuff.
  17. Like the look of your machine, British made, by who?
  18. I always fit the rails as I fit the posts. Must say pallisade fencing is not over secure. Hammer and sharp chisel easily removes the bottom bolt allowing the pailing to be pushed sideways and most crooks can slide through the gap. Either concrete all the pailings in or use the latest weld mesh fencing, easier to spot a hole!!
  19. I've got to ask ... and the Police's response was?............ please do tell....
  20. My local equipment dealer has a new Honda one in the show room, looks great but £3,800 without scissor action or £4,200 with.
  21. Didn't know Belle did one, will have a look. If they publish their prices they are the only ones who do!
  22. I'm considering buying a Muck Truck type powered barrow. I've looked at 4 web sites so far and not one has prices advertised, they all say 'call us for a price'. Personally I like to know the price before I call to discuss a purchase and discounts etc ! So anyone got any idea how much they cost and where is the best for value for money?
  23. So you get fobbed off with a crime number and still you get robbed. Maybe every time we get fobbed off we should lodge an official complaint, there must be some way of raising the profile. Maybe keep e-mailing the local Police and Crime commissioner asking why the poor Police response and lack of interest?
