  1. Husky will replace no problem, we had loads of troubles with 550/560 and our dealer and husky were really good, not questioning anything and when they replaced cranks in 2 550xp s warranty restarted at date of replacement. Incidentally I've been told saws are tested by connecting fuel intake to an independent supply (of Aspen) so leak may have been missed?
  2. That seems like good pay package to me and I know lots of self employed peeps who work for £100-£140 a day without holidays etc. A foreman is not a supervisor though: supervisor is not generally involved in the physical work whereas a foreman is the lead worker and leads by example!
  3. 5 tickets bought, will get more soon😃
  4. I used this link n it took me to an Adders thread! 😃
  5. Ironic that Ash was the last chapter of the book, he was a great writer.
  6. Not something I do, but to be fair if you get building planning granted it's normal for builders and suppliers to offer a quote, no real difference, but you should get paid for your time/efforts.
  7. Pardon?
  8. But will you master the art of sharpening if you're using the combo? I use a husky roller guide or freehand, it took a while but now have the confidence to sort a chain quickly even after grinding on stone/mud/metal. 😄
  9. One wood that is really durable is leylandii, surprises a lot of people😄
  10. That's excellent GreenGui, exactly what I'd like to build! So pretty please with sugar on top let us know who you got the basic machine from?
  11. My sister lives in N Wales and recently the 'digested' AD waste was spread on the land surrounding her gaff, aside from the smell which she said made her feel sick (she's not squeamish) and her neighbours actually vomit, she said every where you looked on the fields there were thousands of dead earth worms. (I presume the process of digestion was not properly completed before emptying the silos?). Surely that's not good for the environment?
  12. Great bit o derailing, no ones mentioned the arable bein used to grow crops to go straight into waste digesters surely the land better used for edible crops/livestock.
  13. Won't smoke much when dry and you don't need firelighters with all the tiny tips that light easily, I've made mini faggots before but only for my own use😊
  14. Good advice one of the best firewoods👍!
  15. Production problems? Probably using the same shite brittle plastics they now use on their saws!😡
  16. Hornbeam is stronger than oak in some respects and as wel as being used for toothed gears was used for industrial flooring as it doesn't readily splinter. Using outside is a big no no as it will deteriorate very quickly (relatively speaking), and you will feel your effort has been wasted! I'm speaking from experience😄
  17. 🌞🌛⭐️🗿📡🚀👽😳🍺🍷!
  18. Is it a serious threat to the tree? Thanks
  19. Can you tell me what this is, it's on a wych elm? Appears to be leaching from the partially healed wound. The tree has been pollarded in the past, but don't know when.
  20. And never be fooled by dear old biddies, rogues get old same as the rest of us 👵
  21. Hi, I'm interested, what you lookin for?
  22. Some of the husky axes are made by Hultifors Bruks who are pretty much on par with Gransfors (don't know if the virgins are male or female though😜)
  23. Only the biggest one I think. Woodsmith experience is where I got mine
