  1. I just posted 25% discount for next week on fb, I need bags shifting to erect a polytunnel and I would rather sell them at a discount than waste diesel shifting them around the yard.
  2. waiting on the last 16 bags of a 38 cube order to go out and just had an order for another 200 nets softwood.
  3. rub some chalk over it
  4. I was put off buying one because of the need to modify the pallets.
  5. Also been thinking of doing coal for a couple of years now and occasional customer asking for peat as well now.
  6. Retail £4.90 wholesale £3+vat
  7. Thanks could do with a redesign some day though.
  8. yes a few times which is why we started using normal bags with holes burned in them + the reduced labour ofc. but they did look good in the yard.
  9. I'm sure the other merchants around you will be delighted at someone else happy to break even rather than work for a profit maybe they should get into the grass cutting business.
  10. they make the sides a lot more stable also when you want to get 6' - 7' high
  11. just adding some more pics to flickr thought I would post these pre vented bag pics also pre processor was all done with posch 30t vertical splitter and pains me to think back how much time I used to waste in a day stacking logs.
  12. you see them in dobbies have a t light in the middle.
  13. yes the window was to check for ripple. good chance there's been squirrel damage quite a few of them where this tree came from.
  14. It's 11' 7.5" long, we don't have time for milling but you can always make us an offer we usually sell to AJ Scott or chantler when we get a load together, we have a couple of oak logs sitting also if someone is interested in them. Don't know how many tons of oak have come down over the last couple of summers but theres alot of stuff to come out of the wood if we have time.
  15. maybe it was Sekelbosor or Kameeldoring and started off at 1%
  16. Thanks for the reply I'll probably sell it now although I have plenty storage space I don't have any milling done just sell the logs.
  17. Had to fell a sycamore on Friday it's wrong time of year I know so is it just good for firewood now? or maybe it only ever was firewood.
  18. I get 12% to 14% around late aug sept and by nov it gets back up to 22% or thereabouts.
  19. my experience with it also, doesn't burn gives no heat was 3yr seasoned ended up mixing it with some spruce I had.
  20. why are you worried about putting it in sheds let it sit outside through the summer and when the season starts that's what goes first.
  21. I have to ask if the palax is the right machine to buy once why are people on their 2nd 3rd etc. I only have experience on posch myself it is one of the more expensive out there but 6 yrs without a problem. reason I didn't buy palax initially was the blade, same as on the cheapest posch I prefer the sealed blade where the wood can't skirt around which is on the larger processors.
  22. even the 30t splitters can get stuck and you end up working with just the tip of the blade trying to crack it.
  23. Only cord I like is the one that runs from the fridge to the socket and keeps the beers cold.
  24. I can deliver as far south as cumbria 8 bags at a time free delivery.
  25. back when i did alot on fleabay i got done a few times on the shipping sending stuff out to china they would request surface shipping then after you notified them goods were sent they would file a claim for non receipt and get their money back, luckily items were low value and when I started buying I was more cautious had a russian try and do me over some vases for $8k I'd used paypal and made sure it was funded from credit card so when the vases never turned up the credit card got the money back.
