  2. been in the forest sector for years run the husky 560 550 both great saws when they don't break and play up recently my 550 was playing up so went and bought a echo 620 sx its still in its running in stages but my lord what a saw 60cc and it feels amazing loads of power apparently its a weapon when its run in and already after a few tanks i can see it picking its skirt up im totally converted to the echo and i can not wait to see what the new 70cc saw brings to the field would i buy a husky or a stihl agen probably but for now probably not
  3. I really like Dolmar their is a new Dolmar just been released or Marita ea5600 I think I’m interested to try this out not sure how good it is but this could be a possibility as well as the 6100 I no my next saw purchase will be either one of these or echo it’s good to have a big saw and a mid saw these are essential I find in forest
  4. Hey there Jamie I mite be able to help you with this been in the forestry game for few years but took time out recently to big operation but looking to get back into it any work going please get in touch anyways I had a a 560xp in the forestry great saw for snedding light powerful but and it’s a big but they do not last had many issues with it it’s not a robust saw to say the least even my husky dealer has quoted it’s a 3 year saw I still have mine but I use it for fire wood if you want a good forestry saw for everything either Dolmar or Stihl or the echo professional range I’ve had husky 560 was not happy with it’s built quality fragile saw we called it ha had a stil ms 441 great saw bit heavy was going to try the Dolmar but didn’t get to test one but you have answered that question witch leaves the echo 620sx now I’m waiting to purchase one this saw has turned my head completly if only demo one for a day but my god it’s impressive very balanced and it feels light in the wood if you get the chance try one u will like it it’s built to last witch I like about Dolmar and echo pro range
  5. Ok so hear the verdict so far went down to my local dealer and tested out the echo cs501sx very impressive very light and smooth power delivery I loved it until he let me loose with the echo cs620sx what a weapon of a chainsaw I didn't expect to like it so much even tho it 6.2kg but in the wood it feld so balanced and strong and powerful I didn't notice the weight of it at all fair play to echo they have 2 fantastic saws witch I'm contemplating getting I'm yet to try the dolmar witch I will try out and make my decision if it's as good or better than the 2 echo I tried today I will be impressed as far as the conversation went today with my dealer he said husky has sorted out the problems on the new 550xp models it's the price that puts me off £410+vat for a 501sx and £500+vat for 620sx I'm pretty sure the husky is considerably more
  6. I'm going to have a go on the 501sx tomorrow at my local dealer it is tempting but il keep u informed on how I get on but I'm going to hold back till I try a dolmar
  7. IV heard nothing but good things so far with the dolmar I want something that's going to last and do the job without any hassle IV gone off husky after my 560 and the problems it's given me time for change I think
  8. <p>Hi shavey can you get the 5105 dolmar mite be interested in one if the price is right ?</p>

  9. OK I will get in touch with him thanks
  10. Hi all I'm after a new 50 cc chainsaw what your recommendations don't fancy the husky after the problems with my 560xp so been looking at the new echo 501sx or if it's possible to get it the dolmar 5105 looks very tempting can anyone on hear get the dolmar apparently it's a bit of a weapon ??
  11. hi im in the line maybe buying a new 60cc chainsaw my 560xp has done me well but the old girl has passsed it so been considering something different any one tested the makita ea6100 dolmar ps 6100 saw there both the same saw they look a solid reliable light very powerful and cheaper to purchase
  12. had my 441 for years amazing saw balance is amazing had the saw since it was first released and its never let me down no problems at all and its woks in the forestry every day the m-tronic is a better system than what husky provides my 560xp has had endless problems the stihl is a tank you wont be disappointed either 441 0r 460
  13. been eyeing a 360 tes at my local dealer great price looks a fantastic saw comfortable in hand balanced well and to be honest there is nothing in it between the two top brands and this little puppy
  14. hi guys my public liability insurance is up and im after a new good cheap quote who is the best to get hold of
  15. makita or echo thoes are your best options echo cheaper than makita and there built well
  16. t540 you wont be disappointed its my xmas gift to my self hehe
  17. ok thanks guys i noticed the new 550 and 560 has flip caps i just thought the new t540 would have them as well
  18. picked up my new t540 and first impressions im impressed the power is great still its a bit tight needs few tanks through it but overall good no propblems with the saw seems to be running fine oil to the chain is good and it starts thats all i need one question tho did you guys get the flip fuel caps cos on mine i dont have them my dealer said the new t540 dont come with them anymore hmmm
  19. getting my t540 this Wednesday cant wait
  20. ok i currently own a 560xp and a 441 on 16 bar i sold my 362 to buy a 560xp witch i do love but i wish i kept the 362 instead had a lot of trouble with the 560 it seems to be more show than go already its cost me £350 pounds on repaired new crank casings was the biggest set back i snapped where the chain brake mount on to the hing on the casing only one side but i had to replace both casings not happy as for my 441 its the best 70cc chainsaw out there that is fact it is unbelievable the auto tune is better than husqy iv had no problems with it its build quality is way ahead and the balance of the saw is spot on u cant fault it it feels when in use lighter than my old 362 but that is down to the balance of it and for power let me asurre you with a 16 bar on it when she warms up hold the **** on tight it out performs a 576 and a 372 and the boys where i work in the forestry dont like to admit it but they love it thats why there all getting and ordering 441 u wont be disappointed get one
  21. wasn't questioning the build quality at all i no the quality from echo is good i just wondered if it had magnesium casings not sure if id be willing to import one id love to but i no il get ruined by the import tax on something like that im sure by the time you pay charges and shipping fees it wont be far of the price of a t540 xp
  22. fair enough just thought id ask if its a professional i would assume it has
  23. i no its a little off topic but ever considered a makita dcs3410 or an ea3100t30b apparently very good
