  1. I'm sure things were simpler growing up in the '80s. all you had to worry about was getting hold of an illicit copy of razzle. .....apparently.
  2. Just read Mr Vartys post. Dammit – I am so naive Still, I suppose it is called ‘Favourite TV girls (or boys??)’
  3. No time for that. I am marvelling at 'TV girls'. - I plan to actually speak to a girl someday
  4. Christ, I hope not. I'm only 14 years old.
  5. Handy for paying on-the-spot fines i s'pose.
  6. A car derived van is not included. If my memory serves me correct, crewcab pickups (Hilux etc) are also not included.
  7. Yes, I read off the back of a local highways van.
  8. The pro / anti debate will remain undecided:lol:
  9. I'm afraid it's a self-selecting group - by posting here you have branded yourself (and anyway, even a solitary qualifys as 'guilt-by-association'). Glad things are going well for you.
  10. Ahhhhaaaaa! Another member of the naughty boys club. How are you doing fella?
  11. Mat

    Bottled it!

Maybe buy 'em a winch for Christmas
  12. The funniest part was that I was reading it with one eye, whilst reviewing a 'whistleblowers policy' at my desk - kinda ironic, don't you feel.
  13. O well, in the absence of 'someone's in trouble', I will have to find another form of entertainment instead. And we didn't even get a padlock for our trouble.
  14. For christ's sake chill out fella. Your first post clearly asked a question on a public forum. Some people answered the question in a way that is different to your way of thinking. so what? If you are not interested in others opinions, mind where you go asking questions. WTF makes you think I was 'giving you permission'? I clearly just said 'think what you like', as may others. Maybe you need to spend a little less time getting frustrated on the internet, and spend a little more time, erm, doing something with someone else.
  15. This is fine if it is what you believe. Here you asked a question or two..... Clearly some people feel different
  16. Maybe the OP is more interested in protected trees and their survival for future generations than in treeworkers making a buck. (apparently some people are)
  17. If you have trees that need felling, I suggest you employ the right tool for the job. I would have thought getting a 'forester' (tree felling specialist) in would be much more effective than getting a climber (tree climbing specialist). Being a climber does not necessarily make you any good at felling, as the skill sets are totally different. What is more, a climber will require a competent and suitably equipped rescuer (under the working at height regulations 2005) which will add alot to the cost. Of course you could just get 'a bloke in from down the pub who does a bit of tree work' - in which case, it will probably be 70 quid.

    Frost chipper

Nope, I don't think the owners manual is written in Braille.

    Frost chipper

Both buttons read 'open' in Braille.
  20. An injury or fatality whilst undertaking recreational chainsawing will NOT be recorded in HSE stats, and will be on no intrest to them.
  21. Money no object.... Chinook. Can't think you would need anything else.
  22. Your origional post made it sound like he was doing a bit of felling for recreation / hobby fun. Both HSE and insurance companies will totally ignore these accidents (which is good for you)
  23. Why would it cause you extra expense if he came a cropper? I shouldn't think he is insured, and surely no health and safety law would apply either.
  24. That would it explain it. Of course, if you could see into the future, you probably wouldn't have started this thread....
  25. How come you took the 'before' picture. Did you have a premonition of its impending doom?
