  1. Here is my current progress on an Otter Carve at a County Park in the West Midlands. Its my first stump carve on an English Oak which was felled due to tree roots damaging the courtyard, causing many issues. The carve is raised on a flower bed with wooden seating around the outside. (Covered with flowers once done) Its been great fun creating the carving and hopefully it will turn out well once im done. Think i still need to slim it down and then start on the features to provide hopefully a delightful carve in a popular location. The only thing i think id have done different from this stage on is create larger legs that hang down from the body. Still next time ill know :-)
  2. Im around Tamworth, interested for sure :-)
  3. Will there be any more recent events happening?
  4. Sounds interesting, although quite a way off to commit...hope you get some takers...i do like the sound of it but would have to see how time goes...
  5. I have just been reading through the thread as im also interested for the future and have learnt quite alot that i previously didnt. Sounds very intense but exciting. Im on the prowl now. Well done with your purchase, like others have said, there not making anymore land :-)

  12. Goodpig, there was a recent thread on here about the harricane and a link to a purchase of one etc...or the person in the know. Its a device that someone who knows someone who knows someone that can get one kinda thing
  13. All those amazing carvings produced for National Trust properties, Forestry Commission woodlands, parks, gardens and...anywhere else, does anyone sign or mark their carvings giving a unique touch and recognition or produce cards etc to show who carved the masterpieces in situ Are carvings more 'Banksy' or recognised by the carver for visitors to the piece

  15. hmmmm interesting but not sure in its set up. Looks like you have to modify the bar to attach the device. My wish list contains a Harricane, although mods do have to be made it seems more versatile.
