  1. Thanks guys, having an adequate risk assessment and providing measures to reduce risk as much as possible I think is best. I have a dome 3.5m gazebo. Think I'll invest in netting in the future.

  3. Thanks woodcrafter, I have a similar set up but interested in carvers distances from public. Always have someone else over seeing it all and selling carvings which helps. Thanks for the info. I guess you can never be too careful. I presume you use craft insurance like most people
  4. Hello all, when carving at events and shows does anyone have a set distance away from the public. When placing up safety fencing I'm always over sizing the area, I presume this is better. Also would this be something with the public liability etc, Thanks for your help if you can all
  5. The ball was carved from one piece of wood. Also the chain is loose due to the carving bar being pointed. It doesn't have a nose sprocket so if tight would could significant wear

  12. Hello All. I am on the look out for enthusiastic carvers to join in at a Woodland show next Autumn. Located in NORTH WARWICKSHIRE (Just off M42) It would be a one day event with a current flexible approach. Although it is way off yet, it always takes time to find the level of interest.   19. I used and still use a makita electric. Takes longer to cut so don't strain it but you can get good results. Plus it doesn't pee anyone off Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
