  5. Its Superb mate!!!! The smooth lines make it flow, if that makes sense. Brilliant. Are you going to sell or keep?
  6. Ditto, the CS30/31 is a must, I went through NPTC and they will show you all you need for maintenance to felling small trees. Use of a chainsaw takes time, getting used to the feel and how it cuts. Also think of volunteering at some places to get chatting to foresters etc. They will have some great advice, and its free advice. I have 7 yrs previous chainsaw use and am still learning lots with carving and techniques. But most of all think of the safety and buying PPE is a must! Enjoy :-)

  15. WOW wisewood! That is unbelievably ace! Superb how you've reused the wood to make the top. Is is a keeper? or a seller?
  16. Whats your price inc. P&P?
  17. Iv found that Oak (Similar to others) Is a hard wood but great to carve. Its tougher to carve but not stringy like willow. So like others say keep the chain sharp. Iv also found oak tends to split more vigorously than others but can add to the effect of the piece instead of looking at it as damaged. The wood its self has great grain when done. Smoothing can be difficult due to wood strength Show us your photos when your done?
