  1. I think they're great. 8x5 has a legal payload just shy of 2 ton, think about 3.5m3 capacity so you won't run overloaded... Fine to chip into, hard to fill to the brim though, i use the tailgates placed on top to make a little roof if i want to keep the mess down. Just make sure you have something suitable to tow it, if you have a disco/defender etc you might aswell get a 3.5ton 10x6. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk mobile app
  2. Thanks for. All the replies, nothing mentioned except Stihl! I've borrowed a KM55 whenever I needed one, but it doesn't feel that well made and died the other day, but has always had plenty of power for the trimming I do. But really don't fancy a 4-mix think ill have to go KM56 for now as its the only stihl that isn't 4-mix. Thanks
  3. Need to get myself a new long reach hedge trimmer ASAP. Ideally get one that you can also use as a pole pruner, although 99% of the time it will be used as a hedge trimmer. I don't fancy stihl 4mix, so the only option there looks like the 'hobby' KM56. Echo, husky, tanaka, hitachi? I've not had experience of any of them. Thanks Charlie.
  4. Don't know what they're worth but most likely going back for a refund Waz, yes it's brand new/unused old stock. Winch is stamped 2005 I think. Thanks, C
  5. Ha ha! I put mine out the window, I'm only little and I only just fit inside it
  6. I know nothing about Discos, but do know I don't want to keep an electric on my Defender... What are you using it for?
  7. I didn't really want a PTO set up... Was after hydraulic for various reasons. Biggest problem is transfer box is a few inches further back than normal on my defender so to fit the big PTO box thing you would have to cut out a crossmember and weld in a new one somewhere. Thanks, Charlie.
  8. That's great thanks. Sorry but its the hydraulic stuff I wanted not the shaft PTO set up!!! Charlie.
  9. Any idea WTF this lot is!? Was suppose to be a full hydraulic superwinch H14W kit... Seems to me that its a PTO kit, with a hydraulic tank, some kind of hydraulic pump, the wrong hoses, and some kind of spool valve but probably the wrong one! Winch input is a shaft... Little red pump, is that a hydraulic pump? Looks a bit small but would fit on the transfer box with the silver adapter from the PTO kit Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk mobile app EDIT. First photo shows what i think is full kit on the left, and random hydraulic stuff on the right. Various mounting brackets etc with it not shown in the photo.
  10. I was talking about this: Timberwolf Woodchipper Parts and Timberwolf Spares 150 Rotor Shaft (2005 on)-Overhaul Bundle 2 But no idea if it would be needed or just bearings.
  11. Thanks for the replies ill get it booked in for a couple weeks time, hopefully they last until then Maybe the quote included the shaft and everything? The bearings are only cheap, but if you need the shaft and everything its about £400 I think. Charlie.
  12. Ah ok! Must say the chunks don't look very fresh and it only just started making a noise. Only small chunks say the size of a 5p but you must be right throwing it out of balance. Thanks Charlie.
  13. Thanks. My TW150 has started making some funky noises, like a rumbling I guess. I was expecting to find some play in the flywheel, but I can't feel any by hand, is it safe to assume I can keep using it until I feel some play? I did check the fins while I was at it, a couple of small chunks missing so they're already on the shopping list for when the bearings get done. Thanks, Charlie.
  14. great just checking you didn't use a stone per sharpen or something lol It's main use will be sorting out badly damaged chain! Got quite a collection I've built up and don't fancy doing by hand lol. Ill order one when I get a minute Thanks Charlie.
  15. How do you check if they need replacement? What are the consequences of not replacing dodgy bearings straight away? What else will I break? Lol
  16. I remember seeing you use this, looks great. Couple of questions How long will a stone last? Is 1 stone per chain a good guess or more? Do you have to be careful not to overheat/blue the chain? Thanks, Charlie.
  17. Thanks. That would have to be a last resort though as I can't weld! Or know anyone who would fancy that either. Charlie.
  18. The back of a chain box will tell you the different options? Think all my saws use the same though.
  19. I do miss my little CS100 but she didn't get used properly, usually had to cart away the chip.
  20. A T50 from memory, maybe 45? Be very careful, they look like soft bolts to me not the hard ones it comes with? I think check the blades are matched is the simplist thing to check first
  21. That would be great, thanks or even just a make or something. Charlie.
