  7. we work quite a lot on infected pines, removing nests and dismantelling trees. the crown browning is due to the fact those catts eat only young needles, not giving a chance to new growth. taumatopoina is the protein that is dangerous, some people just dont react,to the point of letting them walk on you without consequences.lucky them. we do take appis mellifera for protection. if you dont know about your reaction dont try, some workers we had where driven to hospital close to annifilatic shock. its a very serious problem here and will get worst.watch out when close to this trees. stay safe

  11. thanks everyone for the feedback. Since I posted this...learned and tried also this, just putting trousers and ropes in the wash machine just with Beal rope cleaner, water at 60c,no spin and voilá. Almost like new. Even read that you can even clean Ficus sap with plain hot water... About the ropes no melting, britling, descoloration, and we load them proper after. Next week we start on some decent pines, will be heavy pine sap. I will send some pics from ropes and kit after that.
  12. We cut some Ficus a few weeks ago, huge mess as always, ropes, hardware and all the parafernalia. So to clean the ropes from the sap...we tried 110%white spirit red in 1 rope, them wash machine with rope cleaner Beal, shock load it a few times later and voila...no signs of anything on the rope. was I lucky or white spirit is actually not damaging the rope? arent ropes made of petroleum derivates? anyone ever tried it?

  23. Hi everyone got me a Stihl ms261 great machine with very small bar.Dealer wont put more then 45cms bar in it.

What do you mean the dealer"wont" put a bigger bar on it.

Give them the saw back and go to a dealer who will put a bar of your choice on it.You are the customer after all.

261 will run an 18 inch bar with a full chisel chain no worries but i prefer a 16 inch bar on the 261

you should see my country, how hilarious can be sometimes.Just from Stihl check this out in their catalog they show diagram of type c trousers but do not sell them.Chainsaw bars only came in certain lenghts...we cant buy for instance a bar with 150cms,and from the looks I think I may have to order my bars 20".325.063 from England or Germany.Could it be worst???lol
