  1. I had some Artisanal vodka given to me at Christmas. No idea who this Arti is or how he makes his vodka but it tastes OK. 🤣
  2. Maybe it is a bit of a mid life crisis purchase but never mind, it will be used and I doubt it will lose much value if I ever did sell it again. They were on demo in the flesh at APF and the steel used is way beyond what I have seen on others, they are built to last forever. The petrol engine is probably due to them really being aimed a Canada and the fuel waxing decides that one. Happy to post pics and a review after a bit of use. 👍
  3. I have never had dual wheels apart from on a lorry but are they not more prone to slipping on wet grass and/or mud?
  4. I don't have a mortgage of any size on anything. But yes, it is extravagant and would buy a great deal of heating oil or logs.
  5. Yes, I was agreeing with you.
  6. Easton made 12-22 Probably way ott but what the hell
  7. Will think of something but my own log burner is likely to be a good destination for quite a bit.
  8. If there's a firm base under the mud narrow tyres are loads better, on muddy mud neither are great as when they slip the treads fill with mud and you have slicks. I have never really experienced any flotation benefit from wider tyres but that is the theory.
  9. Yes it is but it isn't nice and tidy and uniform. No problem in my house but not so sure it's saleable. We'll see. Maybe I can sell it as organic or something.
  10. I'd say insulated through the roof was best option. Sounds like you are as experienced as any already though. Son had "reputable" firm fit insulated through a slate roof and they made a right balls of it. 10 gallons of silicon and it still leaked.
  11. Getting one delivered this week but I'm laid up in hospital so won't be able to report back for a while. As for the slivers/waste, I was told it is up to 10%. Sounded a lot to me but went ahead anyway.
  12. It is only in recent years I have had a 4x4, prior to that I went several decades with a Cabstar and mud and Snow tyres. I went a lot of places people would call me a liar if I told them. Got stuck a few times too but have done that in a 4x4 and in a tractor. 4x4 and or off road tyres don't turn things into hovercrafts, a certain amount of experience and knowing what you can do helps as much as the tyres do.
  13. Nice tree. Just chop it down if you don't like it. You can always plant something else, or not if you don't want to. I like trees but not near my house and wouldn't expect anyone else to have a tree they didn't like/want just because it was there.
  14. Gone but not for cotton
  15. I had cancelled my Christmas as I was due to have an op a few days ago. Then the nurses went on strike so I reinstated Christmas and had family round for lunch. Ginormous turkey and all the trimmings and we were all stuffed! 4 generations of the family sat around the table, that was my best present and I hope we are all here again in a years time.
  16. There are a wide variety of modern stoves that have the vent to the fire rather than the room, I think I would take that route if I was fitting a new fire. May have said this before but my 5kw fire is too much for my living room, you need the doors open and it is a decent sized room.
  17. Had thousands of them in my orchards. I thought they were late arriving this year but they turned up in big numbers eventually. Not so many around now the weather has warmed up but some still about. They haven't eaten all the apples yet. Them turning up in the autumn and the swallows turning up in spring really brightens my day.
  18. Google Maps WWW.GOOGLE.CO.UK Find local businesses, view maps and get driving directions in Google Maps. One of the most bizarre things I have ever seen. An old waterwheel so encrusted in limescale it looks like it is made of stone.
  19. I have known a few it did the complete opposite for.
  20. One of these on a timer in the footwell timed to come on an hour before you need the truck. Doesn't have to be on long or at max power. Oil Radiator 1.5kW | Toolstation WWW.TOOLSTATION.COM • 3 heat settings • Adjustable thermostat • Safety over heating protection safety tip over switch • Power indicator light • Power cord wrap

  22. Very easy to propagate from cuttings.
  23. I have quite a bit of it. Some on the floo some standing. It gets logged for firewood ☺️ biggest rings there are 26”.
  24. I have never understood people stealing off others to celebrate Christmas, always thought it was the opposite to what it should be about.
  25. I know
