  2. had no problem so far with chip i have been given. its for a softer landing when on trampoline or rope swing. but they are used to the outdoors and not much phases them.
  3. if any one wants to offload any chip near to Winchester will take as much as you want to deliver. using it to fill up play area for grand kids. thank you
  4. what is needed is the dealers you have to promote aspen by having display material showing aspen and why it is good. i know a dealer and he sells and promotes it to some extent but nothing in shop for those unaware of your product. get more knowing and buying then price may come down to allow more professorial who see it on price to buy and try. i am convinced my gear runs better, runs longer and seems to have more power using it. but its not me you need to convince. its those who can only see it by its price. is it not time you as a company got those who use your product to do a comparison test to see if saws run longer on your product. them maybe yo would have converts coming to aspen and price may drop to make it more affordable in these hard times
  5. can you give me the detail of the guy who makes these saws go. like him to do the 576 and if poss the echo that be a job making that go any better
  6. i was scrub clearing this week had a fire not ideal had some thorn to get fire going then it was elder horible stuff to burn. had to make sure fire could not blow in wind as plenty of dry grass yes this time of year. banked it with earth then covered to stop wind blow next day removed earth and had some good charcoal left and still warm ideal to get fire going again worked all the days up on hill last day just banked earth p again and left it will go out and will decompose over summer but made charcoal if not deliberately. so need to get going making it this summer have plenty of old hazel to use.

  8. looking at specs for the 576xp auto tune the 372 or the 390 then the latter is the best of them all has more power weights not much more than the 576. and can take up to a 28" bar if money is a factor as well then the 576xp hands down. im glad i have the 576xp. does all i want and more beside.

  14. have a 576xp on a 20 inch bar and very pleased with it cuts throught timber like butter. yes is a bit heavy but use it for bigger trunks. cutting through a fallen 20 inc ash and its cut through before you know it has. want a 550xp to replace echo tried the 560 good saw and powerful if it was between a sthil or husky then husky wins

  17. +20 male goldfinch. and as its Sussex its tom
  18. jackal bigger than the landy and shaped like a ship at bottom to stop ieds has a v8 engine in it and will go like stink 70 plus built at bovington and the midlands
  19. the bottom end was the D22 yd 25 engine built in spain it had alloy shims and wrong bolts. plus the oil did not get to no 4 block due to oil ring closing up so dried out. and they go bang big time mine filled the cab with steam and smoke not nice cost for new engine 5k. apart from that bloody good truck goes were i want to go. and pulls like a train good on fuel. if i knew engine had been fixed then navara over a landy. mine is having a tipper fitted when i have raised the dosh so will be more useful than it is now
  20. what navara D22 or D40. will let you know my veiws as i drive a d22
  21. re aspen 4 stroke been using it in brushcutter checked oil on dipstick still like new. so must be better for engines. wish it would go down a bit as is expensive to use.
  22. they had a ANGER managment guy on one show. and he ended up in the river. sad new even so it back on the history channel at present have it on record. waiting for heli loggers to come back on. heard swamp loggers was finished and not any new programmes being made. pity there was not some uk shows of the same vein
  23. as found on HSE page Gas mains and service pipes should be designed and installed in accordance with the requirements of the Pipelines Safety Regulations 1996 (PSR). PSR does not specify how deep mains and services should be laid. However, the Regulations are supported by HSE guidance 'A guide to the Pipelines Safety Regulations 1996' and there is also a Health & Safety Commission [HSC] Approved Code of Practice and Guidance 'Design, construction and installation of gas service pipes'. These publications refer to the Institution of Gas Engineers' guidance 'IGE/TD/3 Distribution Mains' and 'IGE/TD/4: Gas services' which specify the minimum depth of cover which gas mains and services should be laid in order to minimise the risk of accidental third party damage. HSE expects mains and services to be laid at the depths specified in these publications unless other effective precautions are taken to minimise the risk of third party damage. A gas main should normally be laid with a minimum depth of cover of 750 mm in a road or verge and 600 mm in a footpath. A gas service pipe should normally be laid with a minimum depth of cover of 375 mm in private ground and 450 mm in footpaths and highways. trust this is of interest to all of you and do not get fobbed off being made to pay for there shoddy work not burying it to the depth it should be. makes me mad any private guy has to do it by the book as i had to for water and gas but ther own guys do what they want muppetts:mad1:
  24. rubbish its down in black and white they have to bury them at a certain depth and abide by certain rules and regs if they decide not to follow spec and law then there fault not yours bugger if i would pay them anything take me to court judge would throw it out. will do some reading and report back what i can find
  25. if you are going to dig near that pipeline get hold of a firm called fisher german. they look after the pipelines if they get any vibes the chopper will be up and will be there like a shot. have one run under my land can not do a thing without asking first and they have a chap watching me work. if using a digger cost nowt but you are safe. if you want phone no pm me and will let you have the number. pat gas lines have to be a min 18" should be laid on sand have a yellow tape round them to say gas and sand over top so if digging sand starts to apear. so you start to look carfuly for buried pipes. so if they try to bill you tell them to bury it properly. BT are very bad for this. allways laying theer lines in verges just under surface so have to watch when digging ditches out
