  1. Even if the timber was given to him there is no way hes making a penny at £25/30 a bag.
  2. Currently: £94.50 for hardwood £84 for softwood Only a couple of cubes left of each Next year £110 for hardwood and £90 for soft
  3. Posh smart cut 700 firewood processor | eBay Wasn't there a smartcut on ebay 3/4 months ago with the same pics? Pretty sure it went for 5/6k and the machine was located up north.
  4. I had a good load of it two years ago which I used for home. It was brilliant, really nice when dry.
  5. This is now sold Mods, could you possibly close this thread? Many thanks in advance! Tom
  6. A friend of mine has approx 50-60 tonnes of Ash cordwood for sale The timber is located in Stockton, postcode CV47 Price is £55 pt Needs moving ASAP Preferable that the buyer arranges haulage PLEASE DO NOT MESSAGE ME, I'M ADVERTISING IT ON BEHALF OF A FRIEND! Call Phil on 07817 531866
  7. I run a 1X42 on 3phase. As timjmac said, a lot quieter, efficient and way more easier to clear out the sawdust as it piles up pretty fast. Only problem I find is the splitting ram doesn't pack as much punch when compared to running on PTO, I'd guess maybe 20/30% less power, no idea why but only struggles with extremely knotty sections or hardwood such as hornbeam over 12'' diameter. Only really worth it if you keep your processor kept in a permanent spot as I hate moving the processor around with the forktruck/telehandler, its so rocky and tippy making it vulnerable to denting or worse.
  8. Especially the bluetooth wireless cams, if the thieves find or take the camera, I hope they're smiling as they won't be in court after the 'hidden' nearby memory storage had saved all the evidence.
  9. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5F-YaIshYQ]bluptv: Holz GPS - YouTube[/ame] The Germans have taken it to a whole new level. It's far from over the top too as it's becoming a seriously big issue over there. I don't know why but people don't seem to look at it as they kind of theft we all despise so much like taking a car or personal belongings, because it's wood or simply a tree/branch to some. But really is should be treated like any serious crime and those caught should be severely dealt with. Due to certain circumstances I currently have large amounts of wood in places where people could pinch bits here and there, I've made a small investment in theft traps and recording equipment so those who do decide to pinch my hard earned stock will be caught and if I had the joy of catching them myself they would be met with a charging headbutt. Don't cut back if you know your investment could be better protected, it's not expensive and it's certainly allowed me to rest a little easier at night.
  10. Thanks for the replies, I've inquired about the ryetec saw so will see what they say. The riko saw looks like a really nice machine but 3k is a bit steep for a machine with a conveyor, maybe if I was doing a lot of billets it would be a good investment. Anyone know of a second hand saw bench with a conveyor? LGW I'll keep my eyes peeled for that hakki, cheers
  11. I'm looking for a circular saw with a large cutting diameter, pref PTO driven. Does anyone own one and what brands would you recommend? Also, does anyone own one with a conveyor attached? I.e like the riko/posch models. I'm not after anything like the old McConnel slip and die saws as I may have a part timer running it once in a while, so a guarded rocking machine is what I'm after. Any help and information is much appreciated
  12. Yes Nick I'll give you a call tomorrow. Cheers Tom
  13. Any recommendations for a haulier in or around Oxfordshire? Any help is much appreciated Tom

    Firelighters

Sorry I didn't make that too clear did I If you're interested, PM me and I will give you the unit price per pack. The £8 is a rough average for posting a box of 48 packs within the UK. I'm not wholesaling for profit I made a balls up and over ordered directly from Fuel Express, therefore trying to shift some stock. Thanks, Tom.

    Firelighters

I can do you these at wholesale prices. Fuel Express “Blaze” Firelighters - Winter Fuels - Fuel Express 24 lighters per pack and 48 packs per box, I can usually get a box posted for under £8. PM me if you're interested.
  17. I have a posch pto driven vertical 20t splitter if you have a tractor to run it? Only 15 minutes from the m1 junction 19 (m6)
  18. Easy-lift, where are you in SWF?
  19. Steve, pm me your address and i'll post you a small bundle of poplar kindling. Just put fair pile through my machine and it seasoned pretty damn quickly and burns very well Regards, Tom.
  20. Judging by the way he talks he's clearly not the fizziest can in the fridge, just ignore him. I had a snotty email a few months ago from a log guy in Leicestershire saying how my bags were the incorrectly advertised blah blah blah. I don't know why wasted his time writing the email as I'm almost certainly never going to affect his business. Some people are born with a chip of their shoulder, ignore them.
  21. I wouldn't worry about it, just save his details along with his message then report him to ebay. He's just bitter because you're clearly taking the honest route. There's nothing wrong with people selling firewood from builders/dumpy bags as long as they honestly state the actual volume. It's dog eat dog and as long as you're making money and doing good business, there's bound to be someone p!!!!d off about it. Plenty of them out there
  22. They've lasted longer than the Stihl chainsaw gloves I purchased, they were shocking quality and had holes in the fingers after just two days.
