  1. Think i read on here hazel layers well, sure there were pictures of it with the post or thread.
  2. Another:thumbup1:for Haemmerlin. most builders merchants stock them. for chillington barrows
  3. Good for stock fence posts, and cleft post and rail. Cleft posts are 6ft 6inch length and rails are 9ft 6inch. Think you would need to do a fair amount of sorting of diameters though which might not be cost effective, especially if its overstood coppice. Great firewood for the woodburner, if you are local i would take a load.
  4. If it were me, mini excavator and take away via grab lorry. You might even pull it free with the landy. Pm me if you want some contacts
  5. When i planted hazel about 10years ago, i used wire mesh to protect the plants and have left them alone. They have put on plenty of growth from the base as well as on the original stem.
  6. I know what you mean but if he puts signs up saying theft of timber, someone might have seen it and could provide a reg number or even colour of lorry. The police do put up signs saying burglary in the area and ask for witnesses. Could even put flyers through any nearby properties doors. Would be worth a try me thinks.
  7. Bad news that. Someone must have seen something, why not put some signs up appealing for witnesses.
  8. Was about 29-30 cubic metres of seasoned wood i had from an 8 wheeler load, if that helps
  9. Bad news. Will watch out for them over this way. Could try your local carboot sale tomorrow, you never know !
  10. Don't rush in with court action, i did once and the customer turned it around and won. I have been on both sides of this sort of dispute, had a plumber do a bodge up of our bathroom. These things can be sorted out without the court and you have to show that you have done all you can to avoid going to court. Problem is no written quote and no written acceptance. Keep your cool, Try and reason with them that the price didn't include stump removal.
  11. I would look at what other species are growing well locally for choice of hedge. It will need protection from fencing for the first few years, otherwise people will just keep going through. If the original is beyond repair, how about post and barbed wire
  12. Thanks for that, an interesting link as well.
  13. Just wondered if anyone could offer any advice on outlets for christmas trees 15foot plus. They are Norway Spruce. Also what price are they worth per foot? I had thought of trying ebay. Any help appreciated.
  14. Knew of a double cab one available a while ago. Have you tried asking on the HPOC?
  15. I use a plastic coated security cord round the bolster and through the tool handles to prevent an opportunist taking them in that situation.
  16. The mk6 load tub is about a foot longer i think and probably wider as well.
  17. Is that for a single or double cab?
  18. You could try CB Forestry in Midhurst area, for advice
  19. Any idea of volume, are they seasoned, and is there access for a 6 wheeler grab lorry?
  20. How long does it take to produce a cubic metre of logs with the multipla?
  21. Sorry to hear about that, will keep an eye out
  22. There's a place in Titnore lane, Worthing, not far off the A27. Charge about £10 a metre i think. Bit far south for you,but will pass it no doubt on your way back. Did you sort out your cordwood shortage from few weeks back?
