  1. Not quite, the saw has a twin coil, the magnets on the throttle switch between the two coils (magnetically operated switch). This is also how each needle is powered (both do not tune simultaneously). The autotune doesn't control the ignition, if you advance the timing, it's advanced, the saw doesn't counteract the work done to the saw. The reason the timing is more advanced than previous saws is simply because R&D at husky made it aggressive to gain more power on a heavily restricted saw.
  2. It's the first hole (closest to the cylinder). The old tillotson carb guides are very useful for the info. Air (when the butterfly is closed) feeds through the second hole and out the first, but at WOT fuel is drawn from all 3.
  3. Unfortunately I can't compare the same set-up as stock, as I run 9t on 18", whereas the work's saws are 7t 15". Although I'm confident that even with the bigger bar, it'll piss all over them!
  4. Would if I could, anyone know how to upload a video?
  5. They are! Mine out cuts anything I've ran against it!
  6. Dual port muffler as stock
  7. I believe it does, I know mastermind and Mitch were messing with them
  8. He's only a midget, anyone who's met him can tell you that! Shame about the black poplar, at that size and shape I'd assume it's a wild one (not a Lombardy), pretty rare round here!

    Husky 395

It will run one fine! Prefer 3/8 over .404 myself.
  10. I believe it's due to the strato, the fuel pools just by the L jet, so shifting to WOT the first charge is super-rich
  11. I hope matty is reading this and shipping a delicatessen your way then! He hasn't sent the short block?
  12. Christ! It's a slow process, I thought I'd took my time!
  13. No, sorry, I haven't won the lottery yet!
  14. Yup, as historically, all modded or vintage saws have been referred to me!
  15. Buxtons will not work on a muffler modded saw
  16. Yes, just stick a new muffler on before sending it off
  17. Are you local to them then?
  18. It's good Jon, but I'm not using the saw much currently, someone at work complained about noise
  19. Actually, all joking aside, the husky bar will improve the saw! Husky runs a narrower gauge chain, which is lighter and requires less power to run. Arguably he could run a narrow kerf bar and chain, but they're harder to find in the UK, assuming wyk is in Ireland rather than the USA currently.
  20. He did, it just has a different paint scheme
  21. How is it, the engine, carb and av system is already husky
  22. I haven't heard many positives about walkerised saws, some have very mild porting, some muffler mods, some just a sticker! May be worth sending it to spud to take a look
  23. What if you have a monster tree to fell?
  24. Stihl isn't logical and doesn't release models in one area at once, which is very un-German
  25. That is true, but only Germany, Spain and Canada have the 193t!? I was informed by Stihl that they only get the IPL on mediacat 2 months before release!
