  1. I've fitted a full LED lighting set (excluding headlights) to my old 110, as I was well pi55ed off repairing/replacing the old lamps. I got the kit from H Bowers - Automotive Components Distributor, via their ebay shop: items in store on eBay! I'm absolutely delighted with the results!
  2. Here's my Yanmar Vio50 sorting our some recently felled roadside Poplars:
  3. Sounds like it all right.
  4. Words fail me to describe this one!!! [ame] [/ame]
  5. Here's my Yanmar ViO50 with recently attached Intermercato brash grapple and rotator.
  6. At least the kid at the end had enough sense to stay far away during the performance! The comments on the YouTube page are worth reading too https://www.youtube.com/all_comments?v=aGzVax04Vd4
  7. Fantastic stuff: [ame] [/ame]
  8. Anyone recognise these bags as supplied by Sacks.ie here in Ireland?: 1 Tonne bags Ireland, One tonne bags Ireland, builders bags, bulk bags, FIBC, F.I.B.C., Ireland | sacks, sandbags, sandbags ireland, bags, bulk bags, hessian bags, potato sacks, coal sacks | Sacks.ie I'm assuming they're made somewhere else and are supplied by others in other markets. This 1.5m tall bag looks interesting, but it'd be good to know if anyone has some experience of how well they're made and if they're reasonably robust.

    Here's one in Ireland, if that's any use: Valtra T191For Sale in Carlow : €0 - DoneDeal.co.uk
  10. What do you guys think of the Zitterkopf crew in the current season? I didn't think the producers could find anyone more imbecilic than the previous cast of 'stars', but they've proven me wrong!
  11. September 22nd – 24th, Ratheniska, Co Laois. National Ploughing Association it's just down the road from Stradbally, where the Forestry Show will be. http://www.ifwshow.ie
  12. I was rummaging around the Interwebs, and I found this: broschyrbank_skogsbruksmaskiner It's got loads old brochures for various forestry machines. Mostly in Swedish, but there are some English language items there.
  13. I suspect that the 'specialist' audience here in Ireland isn't big enough to sustain this sort of event on its own, and that the organisers are aiming at the family-day-out market to boost the numbers (and income!) through the turnstiles.
  14. Exactly this. I have one, and it's a joy to use in straight grained stuff, even big rings. It never gets stuck and is much lighter than my Wetterlings splitting maul. The splitting maul is now reserved for ugly knotty stuff.
  15. Perhaps someone could recreate it through mime or interpretative dance?
  16. Hmmm... I'm stumped so. I tried logging out and hitting the link again, and am still getting the same error message. The second link appears to be to a Facebook post thread from some crowd doing app development, and is full of incomprehensible technical geek-speak
  17. I suspect this is a 'permission' issue. predator and btggaz are likely both members of a particular group on Facebook that Mark Bolam and I aren't
  18. The only downside I've found with mesh goggles/glasses is that they stop a certain amount of light, making working in gloomy situations a bit trickier.
  19. If you can get hold of the digital files the photos were printed from, run them through fotoforensics: FotoForensics Their tutorials page: FotoForensics - Tutorials
  20. I used to get through 2 pairs of hardware shop safety boots per year, until I took the plunge and invested in a pair of Haix X11 MID. My very recently retired pair lasted 4 years, and are only being replaced because they've started to leak a bit over the last couple of months. They'll get 'summer boot' use for another few years!
  21. Unless the Tirfor steel rope is rotation-resistant (contra-lay), DON'T use a braided rope as an extension! The braided rope will offer no resistance to the natural tendency of the twisted rope to untwist itself as the load increases, reducing its strength considerably.
  22. Here are some pictures of the quick 'n dirty screen I knocked together for our Bilke last year. The Bilke tends to generate a good bit of bitty stuff, but this removes 3/4 or so of it. The material collected burns just fine in the gassifying boiler
  23. €90,000 (EUROS) (+VAT, I assume), according to the various articles in the papers on it. Here's another recent one: Big dreams for a little forwarder | Irish Examiner
