  1. Chains perform much better as they become shorter as less drag on the cutter tooth. As the chain enters the cut it tips over and is at a much flatter angle to the material than when just resting on the bar rails.... Most hot saws/timber sports guys run chains that would be just about ready for the bin... If that crappy ole chinese piece of junk out performs a main brand saw cc for cc, then theres sommat wrong! 3. March...no chance lol! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

If you want to try a demo unit... http://www.husqvarna.com/uk/landscape-and-groundcare/support/contact-husqvarna/get-a-demonstration/#cm=default,start-page,local-uk-get-a-demonstration Hopefully that link will work, if not go to the Landscape (not forest), click on support and you will find get a demo link. Enjoy! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. £390! Looks like the ole 254 is still really popular lol Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  6. Congrats on the app! Works great and much easier on the ipad than the interweb version i was using before. Keep up the good work. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  7. Not sure im brave enuf to bid a million..and defo not drunk enuf!!!
  8. I reported as fake days ago and the bloody thing is stil live. Good to see ebay are on top of things
  9. Read the thread below called "550 or 560" some helpful comments there which might help you to make ur mind up between the 2 husky models. Both of which are superb saws and out perform any equivalent class saw on the market IMO.
  10. Epa = Environmental Protection Agency. There is no real corrulation between the two standards except emissions. CE is a declaration that the product meets european standards for the machinery directive. EU machines comply with basically the same emmisions leg. that is called eu1, replaced by eu2 and now we are in eu3. The eu emmisions follow the epa ones, epa 1, epa 2 etc. If the saw is for home use no problem, pay ur money..take ur choice! Defo avoid buying from dealers based in calif. as some models will have much tougher emissions compliancy but the carb jetting is different for US than EU, like someone else posted, same model name but gutless when comparedto EU eqyivalent. ...but if u earn a living from it and there was ever an accident (personal injury) do u really want to give ur insurers the easiest get out clause u can give them? Not being CE appoved would be an issue. For the sake of a what u could earn in a days work or less wen u tot up the other fees...you will p/o the local dealer so u wont get support or sent to the back of the queue if u can and forget any warranty! Imo, not worth the few quid u wud save...like u said times are tough, lets help the UK economy, not the US one lol
  11. Its not on backwards...its for the Oz market. Engines run the other way down under, a bit like the bath water goes the wrong way down the plug hole!
  12. I should have added long streak of piss to earlier post built like a fly! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. Difference in performance is significant but there are financial and servicing improvements too...a 13" bar and chain is cheaper and quicker to maintain than an 18". A good bit lighter too if ur thinking about dragging it around all day in a forest and built like a fly like me rather than a brick shite house lol
  14. You must be mad using that pile of c..p, do u value ur limbs that little! Put a hammer to it a throw it in the bin and buy a decent saw, even if its 2nd hand!
  15. Im sure the dealer would be thrilled to hear what u are doing to his equipment!
  16. Make sure u report it on fleabay. The feckers need to be kicked off. Peoples lives are at risk by using this stuff. Dont think its just a couple of Del Boy types trying to make a buck or two...this is big business.
  17. The power is almost constant until the battey is discharged, that is one of the best aspects of Li chemistry batteries unlike ni-mh for example. Some batteries are better at this than others, it depends on how the battery is designed for its application. In this application consistant power is a strong requirement along with an ability to discharge quickly as the discharge rate is what defines a batteries power potential. Battery chemistry / engineering is extremely complex, i have a good basic understanding but im no expert! ...dont confuse these with ur average rechargeables u pick up from tescos lol!
  18. The saw and charger has a 2 year warranty (same on all husky kit) The batteries have a lifespan of approx 1000 charges so warranty is limited to this value. And apparently yes, the charge cycles are recorded on the battery!
  19. Adding a dash more oil sounds obvious in principle but in reality its just as likely to cause a premature death due to additional carbon deposits. The cost of using an extra 30% of oil in ur mix would outweigh any benefit even if the saw didnt die as a result of an excess of oil. (quality 2t oil aint cheap!) Not to mention extra servicing hassles (fouled plug) and ur eyes streaming due to additional smoke. Use a good quality oil at specified amount by the manufacturer (some saws are 50:1, but can vary...and u need to go by the saw manf....not the oil manf!)
  20. An amout of sound is absorbed directly by the skull and can have a long term affect on hearing. I find wearing a helmet combo is more comfortable than a visor combo anyhow
  21. I love my 346 triobrake on a 13". Love the 346 for all the same reasons everyone else has already quoted. When i use a saw without triobrake now, it feels odd lol
  22. Hi, you have the ops manual there. You probably didnt know this as no one ever reads em lol!! Easy to get a copy of a workshop manual, just email husky from their website and they will send u one, just be clear u want workshop manual not ops man: Husqvarna Lawn & Garden Equipment for Homeowners
  23. The tighness of the bar nuts should have very little effect on chain tension (within reason) There is something fundamentally wrong with either what u are doing or wrong with the saw. You dont menion if u are an experienced user so will assume u are not.... Is the chain tensioning screw and locating pawl fitted corectly. is the the correct type of chain to match the bar. The chain is fitted properly into the rails of the bar and onto the sprocket of the chainsaw clutch drum. New saws are supplied with plastic spacers on the bar bolts. Make sure these have been removed. If this doesnt resolve or no other suggestions from other users, do not use the saw in this condition. Take it to a local dealer to be inspected. Either to show u what u were doing wrong, or for them to fix it.
