  6. Im assuming he was trying to get a bit of firewood to try and stay warm as the price gas/leccy is outrageous he can no longer afford it.... whilst the fat cats of british gas, eon etc sit in their corporate offices swilling champers looking at their monthly profit sheet! I have no way of knowing if this is tru of course but always nice to do a bit of fat cat bashing lol Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  7. The power consumption isnt that much and the weight gain is only about 100g or so - but combine the both the affect is a reduction in power / weight ratio but the benefit is well worth it imo. There is a coil that sits behind the flywheel (static) that generates the power as the flywheel rotates. Very simple and very reliable. Great for drying out ur gloves wen raining and in theory helps staves off the ravages of vib. damage. Need to use carefully in warmer weather (+ 5 c or more) as in some cases the carb is heated too, to prevent carb icing. In these warmer temps the fuel can start to evaporate causing vapour locking resulting in poor performance, hot starting probs and possibly seizing up in higher temps. If ur saw has a 3 position switch make sure its set to carb heating off. As an option, you can bypass the carb heating element but chk with the manf on correct way as its possible to overload the circuit and blow the other heating elements. An excellent feature to have on these very cold days! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. Dodgy oilers were quite common on 136. If the pump housing is black its the old style. The later opaque yellow'ish was much better. Check the worm drive is ok before you replace pump piston. Good luck Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. Recycled plastic posts??? Lasts as long as ugly concrete posts looks like timber. No treating reqd or going rotten. Bit pricey though Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. Unless its common to another later model no chance. If the saw has no chainbrake, its a bad idea to use it anyway or are rebuilding it to sit on a shelf as a complete shed ornament? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  21. Here is a quote from user "wouter" regarding cutting speeds in response from another user. Wouter is a big fan if the husky cordless and uses over most of his other TH saws including his 200! The thread was in f r jones sponsored forum "battery top handle now in stock" worth a read as some really interesting posts in there. "We had a small field test with the 150 VS the Battery saw. And with the Echo 260TES VS the 150Echo beats the 150 and the T536LiXP beats both !I think I'll put up a little vid one of these days with the 150 VS the battery saw ;-)The vid about the echo VS the 150 is allready on youtube" Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
