  7. Thanks all, replies much appreciated. I think I'm getting a good deal.....
  8. Thanks Ben, thats a useful perspective from a landowner...To be fair, the more I think about it, it does appear to be a good deal, the premises has a fair few other businesses on the site and is well established...
  9. My proposed yard doesn't have an office or power, just hard standing. The good thing is that it's situated 2 miles from the forest where I get my mixed conifers from, so moving 5t a time won't be hard....Interestingly, there's also sea access in the form of a proper jetty, which might be useful for bulk loads going to the islands...Hmmmmm
  10. I've never rented a yard before, but have been quoted £75 month for outside facilities suitable for storing and processing firewood in about 5t quantities at a time. The premises concerned are 'proper' as such and are contained in a locked industrial site. Seems awful expensive to me.....what do you chaps do for yards?
  11. I haven't made any mods to any of the Landys I've owned, on the grounds that I don't think I'm a better engineer than the boys at Land Rover:001_tt2:
  12. Wifey's a research chemist and H&S manager at her Lab....She can prob download a generic set of 'em... what exactly do you need and I'll ask her...
  13. An 880 for £380....'Nuff said!! Knacker, Nicked or Scam....
  14. Saw it (no pun!)...looked quite well used on flea bay if it's the same one:confused1:
  15. Strikes me as odd its on at £380 and its only been used once......
  16. Smart, and practical. I need to get one to put on The Big 'Un....
  17. Here's my Puma 110 Double cab in Glen Nevis, near home. It's Coniston Flat Green, apparently, which looks very similar in colour to my old '76 ser III...Great trucks, I love 'em to bits...
  18. Thanks Roni, early days!!, have a supply at the moment, will see what happens over the next few months and the winter...
  19. Here's me and the Loghound with our Defender 110.....Me third Landy, I love 'em to bits!!
  20. New Defender 110 is really maneuvorable...I got mine up a tight drive to clear a load of windblow oak...The Puma's a huge improvement on the old TD5's..very useable truck, but you are right, I wouldn't want to do motorway runs, but for me when I need to get up forestry sites, its ideal. Carries a huge load too.
  21. I've got a thing called a Ghillie Kettle, same principle I think, essentially a water jacket over a wee fire...Here's the Mrs doin some cooking in the back of our 110 near Kilmartin, Argyll, a short distance from home....
  22. We're running a Landy 110. Ideal, tough as a big bag of tough things. The present one is a 09 plate Puma, the third landy I've had. Can't rate em highly enough
  23. Sorry, I meant to send you a reply but Wine got in the way We are at Benderloch......Only doing firewood...
