  1. Cormac at their very best today. No pic but I’ll try and set the scene.... We’d just finished on a job in the back country (single track, over grown hedges, grass in the middle of the road, normally see no more than 2 horses and a goat per day) when we happened across a Cormac van stopped in the lane all lights blazing but like the Mary Celeste..... Mate in front stopped, I couldn’t see what the problem was but eventually got out to walk up and see what was going on. I said have you spoken to them? No he said. I squeezed past the Cormac van and 20m up the road there were 2 herberts in the ditch clearing land drains. Queue of traffic waiting to get past I said. They BOTH packed up. Loaded their gear in the van and reversed 50m to let us pass. Not really a sign related post but pulled my chain. Why did they both have to pack up and load their gear just to move the van and then both have to move back again AND with the state of the roads in Cornwall, why 2 Herberts are working in the outback on a road that’s no more than a farm track is astonishing!
  2. Stay out of Cornwall then you barstewards! ’kin nightmare every Summer 🤯 (only joking......... ....... maybe!)
  3. Agree with that! It always amazed me that the LibDum membership crucified Clegg over tuition fees. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot - he had actually achieved more than any other Lib Dem before him yet they choose to sacrifice progress on the alter of perfection. Difficult to fathom.
  4. Not for me it ain't pal..... 😳
  5. Here's some food for thought.... 😂 Happened across this earlier and it reminded me of these earlier posts. He's got a way with words 😂😂😂
  6. Not worrying about it, just relieved we ended up with less bumbling idiot than that which may have been....
  7. Like TOs after they’ve suckled their fill at the teat of public sector CIPD 😂
  8. Cropper is refusing to send it back!
  9. I’d find a corner in Egger’s van!
  10. Dullard! You didn’t read the first post! He’s in Norfolk! That’s Eggs territory..... No good to me, any earnings would end up going up the wall!
  11. Just to clarify Matty... I’d be inclined to figure that as 10% of the anticipated profit of pre arranged contract work rather than 10% of the predicted income from such. Even that would be dubious since the incoming owner would have no influence or guarantee that they could achieve the works at preordained rates. Sorry for OP if responses have seemed negative, it’s just that folks are thinking - would I buy it.
  12. What for? I feel sorry for the lodger....
  13. And a lodger....
  14. OMFG WTAF? Should I change my inherent hostility to sympathy? For anyone that bemoans the state of the current government - and I’m not suggesting it would be entirely unjustifiable in certain circumstances - just listen to the state of what would have been a ministerial alternative: Diane Abbott incomprehensible in latest car-crash interview FOXHOLE.NEWS Diane Abbott struggled to get her words out on Friday evening in an exchange with Cathy Newman on Times Radio. The...
  15. But how did you manage a 2 rope system?
  16. This one "fell over" last week - the rope attached to the chipper may have had something to do with it though.....😄
  17. None taken Mr C! Your turn in the barrel next week!
  18. Interesting! The path you take should be influenced by the outcome you desire most. Worth having a good think about that before setting about a course of action.
  19. It’s not me mate, not bright enough! I just pinch other peoples’ work off Facebook 😂
  20. Bent as a Turk’s dagger!
  21. Labour has never been as successful as it was under Blair's leadership but most Labour 'types' hate Blair. What Labour really wanted was a Corbynesque doctrine. It's just that the nation didn't so for as long as the likes of Macdonald, Aboot, Rayner and the rest are in the party they will never be credible. Labour needs to fix itself before it can be taken seriously.
  22. I did think Galloway would swing it and I'd have been pleased if he did. Whilst I don't subscribe to his politics, I do greatly admire his tenacity, intellect and razor wit. He's a political genius and of far higher moral calibre than the majority of current MPs. Maybe in football a win is a win. It ain't quite the same in politics though Egger. Can the Labour vote share deficit be claimed as a victory? Historically, opposition fare much better than sitting government in mid term elections. Can't be said here and it also can't be said that this was anything like a traditional swing seat - it has been a Labour strong hold and now it is an "only just" in a mid term by election where Labour should have been a banker. So yes, it's a seat but not sure Mrs Bedwetter should make herself too comfortable. Only a complete fool would underestimate Galloway - ask the US Senate sub committee investigating the UN oil for food programme.
  23. 323 votes just push Labour across the line in what should have been a banker. Just, hardly a compelling victory and a significant vote share collapse for Labour. 47% turn out is poor - but reflects the nationwide apathy (hostility) towards politics. Galloway to mount a legal challenge against result.
