  1. Royal decree. That's it in a nutshell. Now come on Mr E! Stoke is a town (one of the 6 towns that, in combination, make up the city of Stoke on Trent - its an oddity (in many ways!)
  2. Did you see that documentary on TV the other night Dave? I'm not fundamentally opposed to an unelected second chamber. It does bring a certain degree of checks & balance to party government - and there is a place for religious representation and "normal" people in the mix. That chap that started Big Issue for example, who better to represent those that have fallen on hard times given his wealth of life experience. What I do absolutely feel is that the whole of the Westminster estate should be given over to "the people" as a museum / historic building and that the political apparatus should be moved to a purpose built, fit for purpose, carbon neutral building / estate (maybe in Milton Keynes!) A healthy dose of humility might just bring the politburo back in line with the electorate and the cost saving (after spend to save) would dwarf the £300/day/person of allowance. It's a conversation I previously had with Dr Mynors.... he didn't agree!!
  3. Have you 2 sorted out the murder mystery?
  4. There's a certain appeal in the prospect of anarchy.... Imagine the effect on the national debt once all those that can't or won't fend for themselves are no longer provided for....
  5. That's an entirely different scenario! I thought you were suggesting the Scottish population had been duped into voting remain as a consequence of scaremongering about EU membership. Not to worry, we're probably chasing our tails!
  6. As an example, here is a link to the LA webpage for Cornwall. Yours should have something similar https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/transport-and-streets/street-works/licence-to-work-within-highway-limits/
  7. I'll see yr "not so fast", and raise you a "hold on a minute!" A small country on the edge of Europe is quite different to a small country in the EU!
  8. Quite so Daniel! (Sorry, can't do the dots! I'm sure there's a way on iPhone)
  9. Who was "threatening" what? Specifically?? I don't recall it being a threat (I presume you mean from the Pro-union camp), but rather, in equal measure, an observation from the Pro-union camp that Scottish EU membership was not guaranteed on independence - a fair observation. Compared to an unfounded assumption, on the part of the Anti-union camp, that EU membership would naturally follow.... Since there was no definitive statement of intent from the EU regarding the potential for an independent Scottish ascension to the EU, I can't reconcile your position that it was a "threat" intended to influence voting any more, or less, than the indy camp's claim was an unfounded and unrealistic ass-umption. To expand your logic about first Scottish, then the N of England gaining independence.... Would it not follow then, that, for example, Edinburg and the Islands might seek independence from Scotland based upon the overwhelming vote count in the indyref? I wonder how Ms Cranky would react to that proposition... After all, all the arguments she has so vehemently advanced could just as easily be used against her.....
  10. Once in a generation.....? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/02/27/theresa-may-braced-second-scottish-independence-referendum/ Whadayawl think if it goes ahead? 50/50? 60/40 (pro Indy)? Heaven forbid it would be a small margin, "apparently" that wouldn't be valid or acceptable and could lead to protest and civil unrest.... It'll take some sharp pencils to make the books balance with crude as is....
  11. I'm in the market for a baby version for the multione at the minute. Seen Exac1 and liked it.
  12. Do you work Kingsley Carl? Got a Pop for dismantle @ in laws. I'll PM details if it's in your area.
  13. One would indeed Stefan - and perhaps they might if a "person" stood to be held liable rather than an "organisation" which will simply pass any costs of ineptitude / inadequacy on to the council tax payers of the area.
  14. Did you see this ad on itv: Can it get any better - a Twickers game on TV, German Sheperd dogs, beer..... And was that a vintage Mog??
  15. What area are you Carl? 2 vehicles, 2 or 3 blokes? Doesn't look like it's particularly favourable for climbing, certainly not rigging, can't tell distance to roadside from the pics. Can't understand how you'd punt it at £450?
  16. 2 or 3 meters above the trellis height might be a better option unless that's out of the question?
  17. That was my thinking - it "looks" to be quite useful but I recognise there is significant Mog experience on here and I must be missing something!!
  18. "You, dot, MMMMMM...." Never tire of watching that! 😂 It should be mailshotted to all existing owners of HVBWTs!
  19. Which dealer / area? Could it possibly be Snows Exeter? I hope you insisted on a like for Luke replacement while they were sorting yours?
