:thumbup1: It baffles me that so many public and private areas are still stuck in legacy cycles of grass cutting with the associated time, equipment, fuel and waste disposal penalties. So much for austerity! Whilst probably requiring a degree of up-front spend, wild flowering previously grassed areas can provide a changing palette of colour and interest throughout the seasons, massively uplifts bio-diversity (some degree of compensation for the massed swathes of mono-culture grass our farming "countryside custodians" are exploiting), reduces fuel consumption for mowing and transporting mowers, removes the need for waste disposal of cuttings, saves masses of time that can be put to better use and generally just makes good sense - possibly even providing a modest income from small bale sales to horsey types. Plenty of options and info available online for those that might be radical enough to see the potential. -

Have you considered sowing it to wild flower and let it go its own way. Sometimes an obvious but commonly overlooked option - depending upon your particular circumstances. There's far too much unnecessary, costly, time consuming mowing going on with Parish, Town & County councils probably the worst culprits - short of money or poor use of available funds? Not to mention the potential bio diversity benefits of developing a broader plant variety. Grass - it's got its place, but there are alternatives. -
Arrived yesterday, after an early blown hose, initial indications are good although I anticipated a quicker RPM. Will see if time allows for an RPM count and a short vid today.

It's a dreadful local example Gary, ancient woodland too. The pictures are this week, the tipping about 14 years ago now. Ground flora still decimated, mature trees in significant decline. 🤔

That would be an example of the exploitation of the "self employed" status to facilitate employers avoiding expenses and employee benefits which resulted in the recent, perhaps misguided, but maybe necessary, attempt to address this loophole - albeit at the expense of genuine small business.

Yes, I believe so. If it's not been fitted with the burner, they are relatively cheap to buy anyway. Just makes for good sense esp if your family is in the house. 👍🏻
