  1. i was sat in my back garden last summer and saw my mate 3 doors down up a20ft tree with a bow saw and a length of washing line. After watching for about 20min i decided i had better go and take over one of them got hurt. got down there to find there was a phone line running through the branches. i ended up getting 2 paid jobs out of it as his neighbours both wanted their trees trimmed to below the phone line.
  2. are you nearing retirement age? i want it done do i have some where to clip my spare carabiener!!
  3. Ok so we all do stupid things from time to time but this has to be one of my best miss happs ever. I decided the other day whilst out shopping that i wanted to pierce my ear so i could eventually strech it and get flesh tunnles. my wife tryed to get me to go into claires accessories and get it done but been a bloke i said sod that we can do it when we get home iv got some big hyper needles for doing my taxidermy. so that night i had every thing ready and was just waiting for my wife who was waiting for some thing she was bidding on on ebay to finish. she said ill just be a min get something out the freezer to numb it a bit. i grabbed two icelollies and clamped my ear between them. after about 2 min i hurryed her up and got its just about finished. any way after several prompts my ear went numb and didnt feel cold any more so i just kept the lollies where they were whilst trying to hurry up the wife. 20 min later she said right im ready now. when i removed the lollies my ear had frozen solid and was white. i gave it a wiggle and then bent it and it stayed bent. by this stage my wife was it stiches of laughter with tears running down her face. i decided i had better let it defrost a bit before i put a needle through it but after a few min it was throbbing big time and there was no way in hell anybody was getting to tough it. i spent a night and a day in lots of pain then my lobe started to turn purple. i was S*&$ing my self hoping it wasnt going to turn black and fall off. as a result i went and got it checked and had the onset of frostbite. anyway im on the mend. how many people can say that they have given themselves frost bite in their own living room using two ice lollies?
  4.:thumbup: i second that but the way KL71 tyres are made they are designed to be quieter so we might get away with them. if not they better come well armed when they try to take them away.
  5. i wear polarised oakley straight jackets they are the same ones issued to the US army.
  6. Same place I buy all my saw stuff from. Angus Chainsaw Services. You gotta support your local saw shop.
  7. having decided that cans of tree marker dont give a fine enough line when marking up logs i went into my local skateboarding shop which also sells spray paints and graffiti stuff and bought a new cap for my can that gives a fine line. only 25p
  8. I would say all female but Husky sounds like your describing a post opp transexual.

  15. thanks for all your input and ideas every one but it turns out it was just a loose earth wire under the drivers seat. now all i have to do is get the loom sorted. thanks again tom

  17. builders merchant i use the big black ones that are for damp proofing concreat floors.
  18. yes dude thats the one that is Clicking/Buzzing just found out the bloke down the street is an ex Mod Mechanic so he is gonna have a look tomorow night. oh how i hope its just a relay.
  19. yes it is the yelow relay under the seat thats buzzing. im almost certain its an electrical problem something to do with starting the engine as there are no problems once its running. but even if its just been running and i turn off the engine and try to restart it it wont go. i think some thing is shorting out or not making a connection.
  20. there wont be any fule going to the engin as the fule pump isnt making a noise. so i would assume there is no power going to it along with no power going to the engine electrics
  21. i got in it this morning and it fired straight up. so i turned it off and it hasnt started since. when its running there is no loss of power. the problem is it either starts or it doesn't start. i got it booked in at the landy garage if i can get it started to get it there. oh i checked the ECU there was a bit of oil in the red plug. iv cleaned it but it still wont start.
  22. i will have a look in the morning. i have a great landy geek garage i use but its about 30 mile away and i need to gat it there. if its something simple i would rather do it myself. cheers guys. any other ideas keep em comming.
  23. yes its a defender v reg
  24. good question. dont even know if its got one.
