  1. There's been a few round the Cambridge area also so not too far. They're definitely on the prowl
  2. Would never buy a t540xp again after the endless broken parts on mine. I actually rate it performance wise it's just a shame it's made of cheese
  3. I like mine so far it's kept all the rain. I like the way it fits and the hood goes nicely over a helmet. Feels nice and hard wearing and it's not as sweaty as other cheap jackets I've had previous. no complaints from me
  4. I've got the aluminium ones with Velcro top strap and leather bottom one. Can't comment on the Velcro bottom straps as I haven't used them but personally I prefer the top Velcro over leather as I find them more comfortable. I would happily buy another set no complaints from me about the spikes
  5. my first pair of sips were great but the second pair seemed to fall apart in no time. Got some pfanner arborist at the moment and they have been worth every penny. Just over a year now and still going strong which for me is good
  6. Jacket came today brought in a large and it seems a great fit. Wouldn't of got away with sizing down. Feels really nice quality
  7. I'm going to take a stab at a large so I'll let you know how it fits in comparison to other bits I have
  8. Thanks for the feedback sounds like a good option
  9. Has anyone else tried one of these? Price of the cut and climb doesn't bother me but I prefer the look of the sip as it has a hood and vents.
  10. I know you mentioned you'd be looking for 8mm but I'll through it out there anyway the arbpro 9 was my favourite by far before I changed to zig zag
  11. Filled it with jb weld it seems to have done the trick. Only reason I ask about bar is because it was when the original bar on mine decide to come apart and fly the chain off that's when I had the problem
  12. Not sure what the problem you have is caused by there but on a side note and a heads up it looks like your chain has hit the crank case and has taken a little Nick out just next to where the serial number is. Keep an eye on that as mine had cut all the way through before I'd noticed leaving a hole where the oil definitely will come out which I had to fill. Are you still using the original bar? Also pull cord should do the trick getting the clutch off I had mine off that way
  13. I only brought it at the apf last year so wasn't best pleased when I saw the hole. I really thought I must of done something stupid for it too happen as I couldn't work out how it would then I noticed quite a few pictures of other people's. I emailed husqvarna directly and they were less than helpful so I just repaired it and decided I just won't buy another. its a shame about the build quality because the power in the cut is spot on
  14. Had the same happen on mine and because I filled it with jb weld husqvarna said it wouldn't be covered. My fixing skills aren't great but I folded a bit of tin to shape that I slid under the dogs to hold down and over the chemical metal to act as a guard over the top if that makes sense
  15. Gecko II Climbing Replacement Cuffs | SherrillTree.com I'm guessing you mean this part? Not sure where else you can get the part but found this in a quick search.
  16. Do you mean the fibre glass part the pads are on?
  17. Yeah looked a nice tree too get at. Did you find it was good whilst it lasted on there? Looks like a pretty smart idea
  18. Nicely put together videos nice work. Is that grip tape on the bottom of your spikes?
  19. We did some work for a house where the neighbours tree overhang into their garden and the owners wanted the tree officer to be there to show us exactly where he wanted us to cut. We had to leave long stubs as opposed too collar which we found bizarre also but that's what we were instructed too do so.
  20. https://honeybros.com/Item/Grundens_Arbor_Jacket_304 There's a grundens jacket on honey bros can't comment wether or not it's any good though. Just realised someone's already mentioned it
  21. Hi there I have got a New England tachyon rope that I need the end splicing I wondered if anyone in the Cambridgeshire or Hertfordshire area can help me out. Obviously I will pay any fee required and get the rope too you. Cheers Matt
  22. I'm glad it's not just me then
  23. im not 100% sure but i think if you want that same visor you will have too make sure you go for peltor muffs or other ones wont fit but they do do various ones of better quality so thats not a problem
  24. I found that when I had that helmet combo and had the visor down it sat on my face and was highly annoying. I dont know whether its down to having a big head or if others have had the same problem. I also wasnt a big fan of the ear muffs so have changed both of them but i have no problems with the helmet itself. i guess its all personal preferance
  25. i think what he was getting at was a mickey mouse outfit would pay you £50 as they would see you as just a pair of hands but around his area a groundy would get 80 to 100. i dont think he was intending to belittle anyone:thumbup1:
