    Which is best?

I had the spare parts here and I thought I would have a "pimp my saw" and see how it looked and handled surprisingly it weighed 6.7 kg PHO
  10. The cobra is the same saw more or less than the fuxtec I have here but a lot more wonga as stubby says a good chain and a branded bar would help no end but it is built ok for a Far East product

    Which is best?

That's ok but when parts are becoming obsolete there are only certain parts that will interchange and you could end up waiting for parts Better off buying new and orange like this one PS-7910 Full Wrap Handle , HD air filter Sugihara bar 8 pin sprocket It cuts fast enough for me :001_rolleyes:
  13. I've gotta admit that I own two saws made in the land of the rising sun One is called TopSun 4146 46ccwhich is the predecessor to Mitox saws I've owned it approx 5yrs it's on its 3rd chain and a oregon intesz bar it's been faultless starts runs every time The second saw is a fuxtec 162 62cc fully adjustable walbro carb it's very powerful and reliable only thing is vibes up the handle are annoying I've kept them hidden from TCD. ::
  14. Nice one Jon that will help keep the stress levels down mate Good for you I've got a pair of diawa neoprene chest waders for sale That will help keep your cider apples dry

  20. I will get that one this week Harvey did you want 10" 12" or 14" bar Most carvers want a 1/4 set up did you want that or just the 3/8 carving set up thanks:thumbup:
  21. So that's interesting I always thought the 084 only came in 050 it shows how misleading things are Below in the chain charts from dolmar you can see there are two versions of the 099 3/8 chain semi chisel and full chisel 5.2 mm file and 5.5mm file Full chisel .325 had a 4.5mm file to sharpen then near the end 4.8mm file Semi chisel .325 had a 4.8mm file right through the life of the chain Iam probably barking up the wrong tree
  22. It stands for Katylic converter in the exhaust
  23. That's it Harvey it's a bit mad I put my own label on as straight anything new comes in else it's all mixed up so many different sorts
  24. My first 5105 came from the states in 2011 and it came with a dolmar 084 chain and that was full chisel .050 1.3mm The 420 comes from dolmar with .325 050 1.3mm the 5105 comes from dolmar with.325 058 1.5mm
  25. It runs fine I have stihl chain on there at the moment
